in light of the photo finish between West Coast and Melbourne for 8th spot, has the undisciplined nature of Melbourne's season come back to bite them?

At one point a few weeks ago there was some stat showing that Melbourne had double the suspensions to the next team which may now need to be addressed by the demons in the off season if they are to progress moving forward

Fair point OP - earlier in the year I thought their swagger was somewhat justified as they were playing great footy, and despite not having played finals in 11 years looked bound for them.

But as they collapsed towards ninth it became apparent they were full of s**t.

Some clubs learn from this and come out even stronger, but given the history of Melbourne, they will learn nothing, and implode towards bottom four finishes again.
