...the caller on 6PR tonight at about 7.40 pm scraggin teh"Wet Toast"?

He said..."The old wet toast just keeps winning. They won 12 minutes at the start of the game and 12 minutes at the end of the game, and everyone is talking about what a great win it was for them.

"They have a two foot tall forward line, and a ruckman. I can't wait till he comes up against Sandilands in round 22. Sandilands will kill him."

Dockerland on the radio.

What about Wirra, Embley, Braun (who has twice in a row kicked the sealer), Fletcher, blah blah blah!

All I can say is that points is points and what is his excuse for the 90 out of 100 minutes we won in the derby....

Oh I forgot, they are a young team with lots of potential and a bad run of injuries and form and and and and.

Crap.

Collingwood will sort them out I reckon.

Sometimes it amazes me how parochial I want to be you know, give the DOckers a fair shake...IT doesn't matter how much they win as long as they don't beat us, but, then some supporter will come along with his drivel and it ruins everything.

GO THE DEMONS!

If that caller really said that Sandilands will beat Gardy in the round 2 derby then you just have to pity him. Sandilands looks like a player and he is a giant of a manboy but Gardiner is the best ruckmen in the comp. He will squash the skinny big kid.

Exactly, he was just a passionate Dockers supporter and good on him.

And plus, what he said was the Eagles only really dominated the first 15 minutes and the last 15 minutes and still won which was a good sign for them.

Passionate? Certainly. A tool? Likely.

Unfortunately all clubs have pathetic fans who worry about other teams more than they worry about their own team.

I've really noticed it with dockers fans this year. Is it because both teams showed promise at the start of the year and the eagles are currently ahead? This could very well be the first year the dockers play in the finals and they have idiots that are more concerned with the other mob. Go figure.

I think you will find a lot of Dockers supporters more worried about the Dockers this year. Even on this board, you sorta just get that feelong. Most have probably come to the realisation that the Eagles are a very good team and are just focusing on ourselves. Like on the Freo board, not 1 thread is anyway linked to the Eagles. And even on the weekend, I don't think all that many Dockers supporters were too upset that the Eagles beat the Pies. Probably because we know the Eagles will make the finals but we are competing with Collingwood for a spot so it was good to see the Pies lose.

With the way how the Dockers are playing at the moment, they can be giant killers.

Hey it will be a great game when we see the two west australian teams playing whilst they are both in the 8.

Well there is the thread "Sick of the seagulls" started by ACT Exile. But fair enough Kenny, the anti-Eagles sentiment down Freo way seems to have died down with an upsurge in performances. Even FH has mostly calmed down ;).

Anyway if you're having an ordinary season, there's nothing wrong with ramping up a home team rivalry, but when you're aiming for more then you want to stop worrying about that and focus on the task at hand.

It will be interesting come sept if both wc and freo are in the top 8. There could be a final between the two, which would follow the derby in rnd 22.

The WAFC would then realise their short fall in not making subi oval capable of another 10 k.

Before they increase the capacity I hope they replace those retched benches with plakky seats around the "shaded" wing. I'm in spasms after sitting on them for 3 hours. May be giving up my membership soon if something isnt done.

Sandilands is probably better than Gardiner was after 5 games.

He will just get better and better as the year goes on. If you watched the Bulldogs game he drove Darcy to distraction. The main problem with him now is the midfield need practice roving to him but that will come with more game time.

5th Game he had 10 Possesions 5 Marks 17 hitouts and put on 2 tackles from limited game time. not bad.

IIRC, the guy called 6PR to talk about the Dockers but the previous caller had spoken about the Eagles, so he was just continuing the discussion before beginning to raise the point he wanted to make about the Dockers.

Also he said something along the lines of "Gardiner would be the in-form ruckman in the comp at the moment but hopefully Sandilands will sort him out in round 22."

Selective hearing USAEagle?

Whats that mean? **** all

Daniel Metropolis kicked a bag in his first game, does that mean he should have been the next Lockett or Wade?

The notion that Sandilands is anywhere near Gardiner, even by Round 22 is laughable.

The guy isnt even your No 1 ruckman

Who said he was our No 1 ruckman? He is our No 2 who has 85 hitouts in limited time in 5 games. That is more than Steve Mckee (77 8 Games) , David Hille (75 8 games) , Adam Goodes (72) , Josh Fraser (50) & Dean Cox (57).

I don't think Gardie had that impact after 5 games and The Ogre will only get better by round 22.

CC freely admits that it was a mistake not to play him in the Derby so you can bet your house he will be playing in Round 22.

I hope he does play....he is just a skinny tall kid. Gardiner will rip him to shreds.

So why would we care about your No 2 ruckman? Wouldnt your No 1 ruckman pose more of a threat?

I still find it laughable that you think he is a serious threat to Gardiner
