Nope, but he has never played a full season on a forward flank either. Plenty of great midfielders out there, but only a few real quality small forwards!!!
Brad Johnson, Paul Chapman, Alan Didak, Nathan Brown (if fit), Ryan O'Keefe, Gary Ablett and Aaron Davey...(off the top of my head) 7 players is more than a few!

Stevens has been grossly under-rated since arriving at Carlton. He is elite. He is a brilliant reader of the play, has excellent balance, and freaky footskills. He has the capacity to cut the best opposition to shreds when in form and fit. He is nowhere near as consistent as some of the Bulldogs midfielders at this stage, but he IS more talented than anyone on the Bulldogs list. I'm delighted to see Stevens regaining his fitness and form, and reminding the football world of his elite midfielder status. Some of his clearance work on Sunday was simply brilliant. A great role-model for our young midfield group. :)
God help us.

Parrot don't you listen to your fellow Carlton boys. Shutup your making a fool of yourself. The Bulldogs have some of the most skillfull players in the league and stevens doesn't make it to that league

stevens - classy midfielder with great finishing skills
didak - classy forward capable of doing the impossible, hopefully can move into the midfield one day part time.
parrot - a bird capable only of repetitive sqwuaks and copying small sentences due to its small brain.

If you're referring to accurate chip-kicking to each other, as an important skill, then yes the Bulldogs mid-sized players are very "skillful" at that. :)

Stevens is a classy midfielder, but Didak is a matchwinner who stands up under pressure and kicks the big goals when they need to be kicked.
I wouldn't swap Didak for three Nick Stevens.

OK, I voted Stevens because I hate Alan Didak, but was tempted to vote for Didak after some of Parrot's remarks...but I controlled myself. Seriously Parrot, what do you think of Daniel Cross? Or haven't you watched a WB game in about 10 years? Ah well, fighting a hopeless case here anyway I suppose..

Sorry, I'll refrain from commenting on the pitfalls of the Bulldogs midsized-player-only-chip-kick game plan e.g. that Subi final. :)
PARROT FFS, SHUT THE F**K UP!!!!

You are making us all look stupid by association with your moronic comments, and I'm sick of it. Which club do you actually support mate, is it Collingwood? Essendon? West Coast? Piss off and annoy some other club, I've had a gutful.

Watched about 8-9 Bulldog games last year. There's a big gap between what the "footy media experts" pump out in sheep-like fashion, and reality. The Bulldogs mid-sized players are very skillful at what they do, BUT their game plan is extremely one dimensional and predictable. Big games require quality KP forwards, plus adaptability. The Bulldogs have neither. Did you actually watch that final at Subi last year. If you did, you'd appreciate the point I'm making. The Bulldogs will never go anywhere unless they get some quality KP players (sorry McDougall, like Jade Rawlings, does not count), plus a sensible balanced game plan. :)

No u wouldnt have as Port wanted Didak so he would have gone for Stevens...they would only accept that because the other players u guys were offering were absolute garbage and i say well done to Port for not going thru with it - of course i would say that as Blues supporter though
Uh oh...

One of the players we offered was Heath Scotland - Absolute garbage?
