after watching friday nights game from the stands. made me realise just how valueble didak will be to the collingwood outfit this year. with medhurst, toovs, buckley, rocca and davis up forward. didak can be released into the midfield. With his class and finishing skill will be an absolute linchpin once he gets bak. very very exciting

Apparently Didak is ready to go this week. Will be interesting to see whether they rush him back in or give him a week or two at Willy.

Nope, i hope we dont bring Didak in against Port Adelaide as I would rather him and hopefully Buckley to both return on Anzac Day.

I wouldn't want to give Didak 2 games in four days coming back from a knee reco....

We have a problem regarding Didak.

If we play him in the VFL, he will still not be right for ANZAC day since it is only a few days after the match. However if we play him in the AFL is still only a short break. What do we do? I guess we'll have to only give him 50% game time in the VFL.

Medhurst plays closer to goals, virtually leads out of the square.

Didak tends to play more of the Half Forward line and goes in when the ball does... I think they should compliment each other, we all know Didak has a lot of goal assists, with him feeding it to Medhurst on the lead it can only be a positive IMO. I think it's a big difference then what it was when Farmer and Medhurst played together

Make no mistake about it, Connoly is an average coach, getting Harvey, Shaw and even Broadbridge was the best move for his career. Alot was made of the fact that Farmer and Medhurst couldn't play in the forward line together. That is because Connolly thought so. So they tried to play Farmer pretty much in the midfield which is stupid. Medhurst is a leading player, Farmer and Medhurst could be taught to play together if they actually had a system to their forward line.

I agree with your 50% game time for Willy. Play him early, let him have a run then bring him back for the Bombers. Gonna be one tough assignment with the bombers flying.
