If a straight swap was on I would think about it. And even then would only be thinking. There is no way Collingwood would do a straight sway, and if it is so obvious Thompson is so 'average', which IMO he certainly isn't, then Collingwood are even less likely to take it.

We all know what Collingwoods trading history is like. It's hardly worth getting involved with them. Yes he would be a very handy trade if we were able to get him, but we are not going to get a trade with them that both parties will accept.

What do you keep talking about trading history seriously it was once and we have never had anything to offer clubs the last 5 years so i dont no what your on about it was once and it was proved to be a great move

I admit he has folded under pressure one to many times for my liking but there is still no way I would trade him. They can't all be class players, and I think Thompson i still better than 'average'. Not fantastic but better than average. Every team needs there hard workers in the guts and he is very valuable to us. Tough, strong player who can get the ball out. Not worth giving away IMO.

A great deal of our players did all those things this year and to say he has cost us many games this year is ABSOLUTELY LAUGHABLE. We lost 11 games this year and i cant think of 1 he directly cost us. Yes you could say his OOTF on Saturday may have but really they should have pout us away before then.

Im not saying I wouldnt do the trade but the crap youve put on Scotty is absurd

When Scott Thompson kicked it out on the full Saturday this did not lose us the game just as when Buddy Franklin kicked the goal, he didn’t win the game for Hawthorn. One action of play doesn’t win or lose a ****ing game.

Scott Thompson is a potential AA player and for ¾ of this season he was in that side.

Go and take your ‘anyone under 19 must be a star’ glasses off and appreciate what he actually does for the team.

Is there anyone in the same class as Kerr, Bartel or Ablett on our list . For all our players under 25, Thommo is closest. Didak isn't close to being near Abett, Bartel or Kerr.

Campbell and Vince can be developed in the role. We have a few options as opposed to effectively ZERO options for the crumbing role, plus he can play on ball. We get an A-grade small forward/crumber plus explosive pace to rotate through the middle; we kill two birds with one stone, and it clears the way for Vince to be injected into the midfield for the extractor's role.

Didak doesn;t have explosive pace. He is average speed really. Probably has the same leg speed as Goody. He isn't explosive, he isn't quick but isn't slow. He's just a smart player. He's lost a yard of pace though from his knee reco and has been a shadow of what he was last year. Vince and Campbell will NEVER EVER be as good as Thommo. Never.

After a serious knee injury players aren;t the same. They just aren't. Huddo has been good this year but his ruck work has gone backwards after his knee reco. Didak won;t be the same. Why is he on the market if he is such a good player FD? He has off field issues as well. It is laughable that you think Vince and Campbell can slot straight into Thommo's role.
