It might be the Grundy show with Pendlebury the wonderful support act.

Time to go 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...

11 scoring shots was 11 points to the good.

Now over to you.

5. B Grundy (can he win the Brownlow as surely that’s 3 votes tonight. Outstanding.)
4. S Pendlebury (only Grundy stopped his tour de force)
3. T Adams (did the business and worked his way so well into the game)
2. C Mayne (so under appreciated, does everything asked of him.)
1. A Treloar (knocks up getting possessions)

With merits to Crisp, Elliott, Mihocek

Funnily despite an overall underwhelming performance by the team, I thought we actually had a number of very good players on the night

5. Grundy - not much needs to be said
4. Adams - was elite by foot tonight which was the difference between he and Pendles. 10 score involvements was a team high.
3. Pendlebury - dependlebury ever so reliable and safe. Highly responsible for slowing the game down and interrupting Essendon's tempo.
2. Mihocek - was the X-factor up forward. For the second time in two weeks was robbed of a personal best fifth goal.
1. Crisp - in a poor night for our defenders, Crisp stood tall and repelled so many Essendon attacks. Had the second most metres gained on the ground.

HM:
Treloar - burned the ball early but picked up as the game went on. Ended up with 35 disposals, 8 inside 50s and the most metres gained on the ground
Elliott - probably should have kicked 5 but 3.4 is still a top effort in a low scoring game. Momentum is strong with this one.
Mayne - 28/31 disposals of his were effective. He doesn't do a great deal of damage but he's so safe and smart with ball in hand. Was very good in the air too.
That little run of his and dish off to Elliott who goaled was a personal favourite highlight of the night.
Noble - stopped a number of Essendon's ball movements across the night. Has remarkable composure for a rookie.

5: Grundy - absolutely dominant. If players other than midfielders can still win a Brownlow he’ll be the one.
4: Pendles - he sure loves playing Essendon. Yet another great game from the champ.
3: Adams - terrific ball use together with his usual grunt and effort.
2: Mayne - ripping effort as usual but more effective. Where did that turn of speed to set up Elliott come from?
1: Mihocek - only blemish was not kicking that 5th goal.

Treloar, Noble, Crisp & Elliott all good.
