IIRC, alot of ppl on here were saying that billy runs out of petrol to quick and doesnt have the stamina to play league footy?

Looks like it, same compared to 2003.

From 2003 Draft Camp:

Farren Ray 15.3
Andrew Walker 14.11
Ricky Dyson 14.7
Tom Logan 14.6
Daniel McConnell 14.6
Luke Peel 14.5
Luke Buckland 14.4
Leigh Ryswyk 14.4
Brock McLean 14.4
Brent Stanton 14.2
Billy Morrison 14.2
Adam Bentick 14.1
Ryan Murphy 13.13

With those beep test resaults, i find it really hard to beleive...

Considering 2/3 of those named havent played a game yet and some are unlikely to ever play a game, it just shows that the beep test proves nothing about a player's ability to play football.

As I've said, I think people are being a little hard on Billy. He's kicked 10 goals in the last two weeks in the Willi reserves, you'd think he deserves more than 1 week at a time in the Willi seniors.

But even then, with Williamstown unwilling to play any of our players like Egan or Rusling, who might actually have some skill, in the midfield, and insisting on using guys like Lloyd, Cranage and Jarrad, the midfield delivery into the forward line is never going to be good enough for a big marking forward like Billy to ever make an impression.

Billy's not as bad as people think. He just left a bad taste in everyone's mouth when his debut season was relatively poor, and now people expect him to be the messiah to compensate for that.

Should I sticky a Billy-Watch thread, so that we can avoid the weekly "What's the story with Billy" threads??

10 in two weeks in the VFL reserves is better than nothing but it is a heck of long way from AFL standard. The mere fact he's playing VFL reserves is a worry. If he was likely to ever be an AFL top liner you would think he'd monster VFL reserves footy as a second year player. The fact he kicked 5 last week and still wasn’t named in the best is also a worry.

About the only concession I give him is that he's the same age as Yakka. He was drafted very, very young and with limited exposure to the recruiters. Yet most of them were impressed with his form as a junior.

Honestly, we've got too many tall projects. But we've got some pretty clear duds and too many plodders too (not that that's stopped Malthouse hanging on to them).

With this draft suppsedly being pretty average, he might just be able to retain his spot. Then he can go on the Rhyce Shaw program of running until you vomit. So can Brayden.

Willy Reserves are on top undefeated with a percentage of 190.

Peter McKenna would average 5 goals a game, and he's nearly 60 years old!!!!

Therein lies the problem

Walker (athlete)
Davidson (gun with bad knees)
Hall (potential qulity ruckman/defender)
Richards (only genuine ruck on our list)
Fanning (basketball background, Brogan-like potential)
Morrison (gun junior footballer)
J Cloke (pedigree and debut season)

All have blue sky potential in their own individual ways, but we cant afford to carry them all.

My only doubt is on Tom Logan, every other player has played (bar Morrison).

Only 3 (Luke Peel, Luke Buckland, and Billy Morrison) out of the 13 haven't played AFL footy yet.

He's played senior footy this year as well.

FWIW, Morrison was very highly rated by Scott Clayton, so much so that he was some sort of silly chance to go pick 4 (we got Farren Ray instead). Is he a completely lost cause? One thing Collingwood is not short on and that is KPP's.

I dunno about a lost cause, but he looks like a sheepdog out there.

Personally, I think we'd all be less angry if he got a decent haicut!

I can recall the warm youth of a summer day, yeah:
The sweetest lemonade, the darkest game arcade,
And Billy had a yearning in the corner of his mind.
It moved him secretly. It moved him powerfully.
But prescience was lacking and the present was not all
And his aptitudes were carelessly wasted.
And challenging life with the abandon of a fool,
He squandered the hours of his day.
Then darkness and disorder slapped him sharply in the face, yeah.
It hit him like a friend, struck something deep within.
He couldn't break the chain of slow decay that seemed to drag him
Just like a fatal tie toward the other side.
And Billy was a lunatic, just barking at the moon,
And his brain was totally wasted.
He then exchanged his friends for a needle and a spoon
And he threw his future away.
Bolt the door and throw away the key.
Your dim reflection is all that you can see.
So where is the justice when no one is at fault
And a human life is tragically wasted?
How fragile is the flame that burns within us all
To light each passing day?

Bad Religion really aren't looking so bad any more.

Where's the "Punk Rock Song", "American Jesus" attitude? :p

they were never a "bad" band but they had Pessimistic lyrics. They are all over 40 (except Brooks) in that photo, Brett owns Epitaph Records and Greg has a Phd. None of their songs were about getting wasted or anything. However their latest album is their most ********ed off probably.
