The kid is quality across all levels and I love how other sides think we drafted a tagger, when we all know he is capable of playing in several posistions.

P.s I really hope Diesel is working with Murph on his kicking as once we can be 100% confident of that side of his game then we can ponder the brownlow... Good times ahead people.

Williams is excited about working with Judd, Stevens, Murphy and Co.

As a 20-year-old, Murphy will claim much of his attention.

"I've spoken to him a couple of times," Williams said.

"About the way he plays, a little bit of game-plan stuff. I reckon he gets the mix a little bit wrong; a lot of players do.

"He's getting the ball kicked to him too much instead of him getting the ball and giving it to other blokes, that sort of thing.

"A lot of players get the mix wrong and it really affects them when they get tagged, and it affected him last year.

"He's a rover and I've said to him never forget what you are. You've got to get the ball and you've got to give it to blokes. You'll get receives as well.

"You'll always get receives, it's just getting the balance right.

This play is also is what kick-started Carlton's resurgence to get back into the game when it looked like getting away. :thumbsu:

Personally, I thought Marc Murphy ignoring Fev (who every one else was going to at every occasion) and instead kicking long to Fisher in the square, resulting in the Edwards goal was the turning point.

Hey this is off topic , But would anyone be able to tell me if you can buy guernseys with numbers on them ???? because i want to buy one on-line at the cfc shop but they dont seem to come with numbers .. Some info would be much obliged.....

A little of subject from the OP but that seems to be the going thing.

Thy, I'm a little new around these parts but just wondering if you get out much?

You are just in every thread with an even wittier comment then your last.

Not having a go or anything, you just seem to be a very intriguing character!

Just a very sad, isolated hermit pathetically looking for the attention he will never get in real life. Thanks for caring and reaching out. :thumbsu::)

You can get any numbered guernsey from the club shop you like ..just as long as it's No. 5 .

The others you need to get the number and have it done yourself...or better yet send it off to thylacine to do ..after all he does feck all else all day and night .

And you could hardly tell Gibbs workrate has risen.

Haha, in all seriousness, on the field, Gibbsy looks like he's at leat 25 when he goes into contests. This bloke will be an absolute star in the future, and i'm enjoying every second of his development.:thumbsu:

I love having Diesel down at the club working with Murphy and Gibbs. With Juddy to look up to, and Diesel giving them all his dirty little tips and tactics, their development is being managed as well as one could hope.

Gibbs is a beast. He is 19. Just check that out. 19. He plays with the poise of a 25yo, easily.

While his apprenticeship as a tagger, half-backer is a bit frustrating, because we want to see what he can do, I really believe that in a few years he's going to be an all-round megastar, the equal of any other young player in the game. He will be brilliant.

He cut Richmond to shreds last week, with a hand in at least 5-6 goals by my count. For a kid in his SECOND year, that's ridiculous.

There were quite a few lead changes in the game which means there are potentially many turning points to be identified, all very much subjective of course.

I, like many others, saw Judd's omission as an opportunity for someone else to step up, and while on replay Stevo stands out as the one who took the game by the scruff off the neck, going into the game, I had a feeling that it was going to be Gibbsy, especially after the flashes of brilliance he showed when unleashed onto the ball in spurts the previous week against Essendon.

That perfectly weighted kick from the half back flank straight over the Richmond players' fingertips and into Wiggins' space followed by his gut busting run down into the forward line to receive Bentick's handball and snap the goal on the same forward 50 entry was what got me to my feet at the game.

He then put his head over the ball and created a clearance immediately after that which resulted in another goal and tied up the game, that got me shouting "Has he Judd enough yet? Has he Judd enough to justify the big wraps we've had on him for the past 2 years?!?!".

He took the game on again on numberous occasions in the third and fourth quarters creating and setting up goals including kicking the goal that put us in front and we never looked back from there.

And of course I was jumping up and down when I noticed him winning a hit-out as third man up 'is there anything he can't do?!?!' :D

Obviously going into the game with a sense that Gibbsy would be the to drag us over the line when it got tight would have influenced my perception of things as they unfolded, notwithstanding, I am still very comfortable that 'Gibbsy Judd enough' ;)
