Disappointing we weren't able to maintain competitive in the last, but with so many young players who haven't yet had enough full pre seasons it is to be expected we will fall away. And we really don't need to be winning these games, with an eye to getting the best outcome come draft time.
Encouraging signs up forward , though we need to not have the talls flying against each other for marks.Hopefuully experience and more time playing as a unit sees improvement.

This is not going to be popular but bitching about Laverde or Blackiston or the usual suspects shows people are not seeing a few more serious issues.
In the last quarter Merrett and Martin basically ball watched every time GC had the football. Have no idea what either where trying to do standing by themselves while Miller and Anderson where left free around 60 meters from goal and involved in a few of the goals.

Then we have the general clearance shit fight where nothing is clean. It is all rushed with minimal blocking and multiple times when we run into each other.

The wave run ended up killing us because our midfield basically did not cover most of the game.
They have to work harder when we do not have the ball.

It is compounded by the fact that the one bloke who is a bit switched on, Setterfield is just too slow to make a difference in open play. Does a great job in close and around stoppage but can not effect a shut down if the opposition gets in the open.

We are just lucky we’ve been handed a gift with balta and lynch out again. They nearly beat us first time without them plus nank, we struggle to score over 75 points so it’ll be a tight game

And even if we end up inviting Tsatsis to look for opportunities elsewhere, he surely has greater potential to get us at least some useful fraft capital with that added exposure than if we are shopping around what amounts to a bottom 6 side VFL player.

Happy with matching them in a good standard game for 3 quarters. Pretty much every one of the kids we are bedding in look like genuine long termers, so there is good value in that

Some of the defensive stuff is absolutely diabolical, whoever, if anyone is talking to them about when to leave their man, when to hold space and where to position themselves off ball needs to be shot into the sun. Lual might be the best defensive decision maker on the list.

Geeze that Bailey Humphrey does like 1.8 really nice things a game before going missing for half an hour at a time, to think he could be going missing for us!

Fun game to watch, youth looks good, just keep giving them exposure to teams.

Keeping the win total down keeps us up top of the draft order so another positive.

Looked alot stronger down back with rids there which is to be expected.

Probably Kako's best game, Caddy continues to show he may be our first superstar in some time.
Lual looks great at the level, I prefer him playing forward flank instead of wing, keeps Clarke in the position he looks best at.

Martin much quieter than usual. Welcome back Duz, missed his attack on the ball.
