This week, SFA legend Dingster becomes a member of an even more exclusive Club, one whose membership cards are written in invisible ink and visible only under ultra-UV lights. One whose secret handshakes can take months to master. On which has the most stringent entry criteria known to man.
In the 26 season history of the SFA, only 19 players have previously reached the 300 game milestone.
This week, Dingster (and croweater 41 ) join the illuminati of Sweet.
Dingster has been one of the mainstays of the SFA since his debut in Season 3 for the now-defunct Junkyard Dogs. A founding member of the first incarnation of the Las Vegas Bears in S5, he joined the also extinct ModSquad upon the Bears hiatus, before taking a few seasons off to seek spiritual enlightenment. Upon the Bears re-entry in S18, he rejoined the league and became a Premiership player in S22, and co-captain in S23. Joining the Sin City Swamprats in S24, Ding became a Fred Medallist and All-SFA player in S25, but in all these cases, it has been his work behind the scenes, in recruiting, mentoring and counselling his team-mates, that made him a jewel in the crown of the SFA. And his value is now being recognised by other clubs, for whom he has selflessly recruited a handful of rookies to bolster their stale lists. Hall Of Fame status awaits in the near future.
