I dont see why his height is such a weakness. His body size isnt too small so it is not like he gets pushed around in contests. The only thing it will affect is his marking I would think. But that is countered by the fact he should be better at ground level than most others.

He's very underated on BF. One recruiting manager (unnamed) said he was the most complete mid in the draft.

He went about where I thought. Knew he wouldn't get to 14 so not too upset.

GC have a little gun on their hands. To add to the others I guess.

Height is becoming less and less important especially in the midfield since the massive drop off in contested marking. How many midfielders in the AFL regularly take contested marks?

Bartel and Goodes spring to my mind but that's about it.

I hope Dion has a ripper career, from a fellow short arse :thumbsu:
 
I also wish him well. I was convinced we were taking him, & I was very happy about it. Of course, Heppell & Atley were just as exciting, but I thought we were taking Prestia.

A shame kind of he went to GC, where there might be a pretty tough midfield to crack, but if he's all he's made out to be he should have no problem cementing himself.

Maybe one day we can pick him up as the Coast need to ease the squeeze, but we'll be paying a lot probably.

Will watch his career with interest
 
Prestia will be part of the starting midfield, he will surprise a lot of people, except WALL_e of course;)

Going to love watch Dion play since I saw him from under 10's.

Yeah but the rating system doesn't take into account their scope for growth. For example what if Prestia is already the best he can be?
This rating system doesn't tell us anything about their future.
