Federal politician Kate Ellis and leading international businessman Jim McDowell have taken up positions on the Adelaide Football Club’s Board of Directors.

Ellis fills a vacancy left by Kate Gould who recently stepped down to focus on personal business commitments, while McDowell is a new appointment on a three-year term.

McDowell especially has some great business credentials. Wonder, given his history, if we will be getting a sponsorship from the French sub company in 2018.

Personally I have always found Ellis a bit underwhelming as a politician and Minister and she is from my side of politics. She is a passionate supporter though so it will be interesting to see how she goes.

End of his term in 2 years he will swap to Appointed position to allow for competition for the member's position they want a member to run, Last couple of time no one ran against Rod Jameson and Mark Ricciuto.
Reckon either Chapman or Foord will step down as both their terms expire,
