So shattered right now. Season is well and truly over, unless we can pull wins against the dogs and wce away, i dont see us mounting a challenge for the 8 this year.

Should realistically be 3-0 right now.

Yeah well the 2007 draft is the year for the ruck. Kruezer is the best of the bunch.

But honestly Richmond have stuffed themselves up. Should of started to rebuild last year and got a quality KP or ruck like Gumbleton, Hansen, Leunberger.

Trading away pick 8 for Polak and getting pick 13 in exhange was a shit deal.

Could've got a much better player then Reiwoldt.

This year was always going to be a shit year for Richmond, but in not rebuilding last year this bottom 4 side is gonna stay in the dumps longer.

Plus the senior players have showed no heart. Richardson has to get his kicking right to.

as if this club could afford to throw in the towel last year and bottom out with three wins. not exactly the ideal club to be a coach at when you don't win games. why do you think we've finished 9th so many times? every year we give it everything we've got (which admittedly is never enough) because the coach is in fear of his job.

that last quarter was disgraceful.

Wallace has said that he would've nabbed Riewoldt at 8 and I believe he is telling the truth as we overlooked Sellar at 13.

I just don't know the way forward now, the years not over yet... fingers crossed it was just an off night.

We know we aren't much better, but I was quite glad to hear Lance come out after the pre-season win to say we are aiming for the 8.

You want them to aim high. Just looks to me like the players haven't got that killer edge, put teams to the sword when it counts..........is it because the believe, as Terry said, that they haven't got any better?

His days are numbered, round 6-10 IMO.

Tonight was terrible, but as I said a few weeks back, you only need to look across our list with untainted eyes and you will realise there is only a handful of players that would get into the other 15 teams 22 every week.

This is why terrys 2011 statement was not so unrealistic he has been in two years re assessed and realised there is a whole lot more dead wood then he originally thought.

I still believe he is the man to fix us, but its gonna take a few more drafts, some expensive heads will roll and a little luck.

My handful of players i believe we should keep atm are:

Deledio
Tambling <-- Tonight
Raines
Simmonds


I know its harsh, but this is AFL. Of course there is possibly some players amongst our latest draft picks worth keeping.

our whole season was rubbish but terry wanted to look good so we started to become a flat track bully and thrash carlton,dons and brisbane late in the year and instead of luenberger we get polak and kingsley lol

foley was our best player by a long long way. his disposal has really improved over the preseason and i'd say he's the only player to have noticeably improved at all.

everytime we get the lead snatched away from us in the later stages you just know there's no coming back, we lack heart and the desire to fight it out when things aren't going our way.

2011 is an ideal aim for you guys imo, there is plenty of dead wood at your side, and not enough depth.

Saints went through this 99-04....2005-2010 for you guys.

Tambling, Deledio, Foley, Raines all look impressive and will make a good midfield.

Richardson just isn't good enough anymore imo.


Schulz is your future, utilise him as much as possible.

Use Richo as a decoy.

As much as l cant believe l'm saying this... but l'm even singing from the same page as IDGAF and even Oxx for that matter.

Collingwood brought 3 new kids into the game and it did wonders for the team, having young kids in your team gives the team a good feeling leading into the game, as Malthouse said after the game. These kids have been given a chance and they sure as hell arn't going to waste it, Give guys like edwards rievoldt, meyer, white, conners, HUGHES, king a game cause i am pretty confident they are going to give alot more than of what some of the players showed tonight, Kane Johnson was he is ****ing slow motion or was that just me, wtf i mean he is captain of our club and that is worst game i have ever seen him play ....Petiffer did nt realise he was playing tonight.
Tambling looked very good tonight about the only thing i am happy with,
Tuck has dropped off. He gets it in the middle but always kicks it straight up into the air, not to our advantage what good does that do for us, just another 50/50 contest. I could go on forever but yer no point, just a waste of my time. We wont finish last i am sure of that, roos have that in the bag but pick 2 is looking likely.

Whens browny back, we have put so much money into this guy, missed the years when he was in his prime, has played about 7 good games for us, looking back now was it worth it, i guess not

That's actually not a bad post. Raines has gone backwards this year. Just hope he can overcome whatever it is he has. Whether it's lack of confidence or what.
I think you're right. It's another three to four years of lathering up the tan holes and bending over for us I'm afraid.
I'm off to watch the Aussies give the irish a good butt spanking.
