Something has been rotting at your club since Bartlett left, he made allegations at the time that look prophetic now. It may be time for you members to take things into your own hands and demand he come back with a big broom and clear out the cancer he alluded to

suppose it would at least minimise the handball count.

Can't we just once get a Coach who really, friggin really wants to coach.....and coach well.
Like the Captaincy, why do we give it to marshmallows?
Geez Johnson isn't a Captain's ahole.
He's a ghost of a footballer.
And Wallace is the coach you have when you don't have a coach.
He's a BS and no substance.

I'd much rather give the Captaincy to a kid off the street and tell those stuck up footballers at RFC to follow him or else and the Coaches role to a young coach who's in a current assistant role somewhere.

We are a soft club.

I just can't handle any more.
I might take a break for a few years. Seriously, I'm spent. I'm just broken.
Shattered.

Me too dude, Me too, i just got my first membership this year but i still have been waiting for so long, time for a break i think, i just hope that when i return there's still a richmonds tigers football club, i can't imagine supporters sticking around for much more of this, has another team been down the bottom as long as richmond?

No but they may have set the tone for those who took over from them... Bartlett is a winner!
You think we don't want to see KB back at the club?

We've had so many changes at every level of the club in the last 25 years that no-one could keep track of them. I don't think that the administration which sacked KB has any influence on anyone at Punt Rd in 2007.

Can't wait to hear Terry's response at the press conference.
What's the bet he spins out the same old shit about "i was pleased with the start", "we applied good pressure for half the game", "it was just a lost opportunity" etc etc etc etc etc etc etc. lalalalalalalalalala..
Here you go then:

TERRY Wallace has denied fitness is the reason his side has faltered and lost three matches in a row despite leading at times throughout each game.
The Tigers are now 0-3 – and Wallace said while he doesn't believe the cause is fitness related, the club will deeply analyse just why it is struggling to run out games.
"People are going to say a lot of things, and we're going to analyse the game and see where we sit," he said after the 25-point loss to an undermanned Magpie outfit at the MCG on Friday night.
"All our fitness parameters are better than where they were at the same time last year, everyone in the competition says that, but that's actually the reality of the numbers that it has happened to us.
"The nature of the competition is that if you don't get fitter and you don't get better, you don't stand up. I don't see it as being that, but it will be one of the areas we'll analyse along with everything else."
Wallace said he and the players understood just what sort of situation they had worked themselves into, having not recorded a win so far for the home-and-away season.
Despite the disappointing start to the year, he was still able to draw positives from the Tigers' three losses to Carlton, Sydney and Collingwood, and said the fact his side was thereabouts in each game means the problem isn't necessarily ability related.
"We understand the circumstances that we're in, we understand what comes with those circumstances, how it's a high-pressured competition and a high-pressured game," he said.
"We understand that we've now put ourselves in that pressure cooker environment, and it's disappointing to be here but that's the realities of life.
"From a positive aspect of it, do you say it's ability? Well, if you can be in front for 90 minutes of a game, and in any game you can get the run going your way early and have a bit of control, but we've been able to be in front for 90 minutes of the game three times now and not been able to get the job done.
"What we obviously need to work on, discuss and analyse as a group, is why things are changing from there."
Terry's positives are highlighted:mad:

Whatever Terry says....it still doesnt change the fact that right now....we have moost UNTALENTED list in the AFL by a far margin.

I think I agree with him where he says wo wont look like going anywhere near finals until 2110 :(

Its a ****ing disgrace.

Here you go then:

Terry's positives are highlighted:mad:
What he fails to say is that near enough "IS NEVER GOOD ENOUGH" and this will no longer will be tolerated .

he also carelessly omits this ...

"What we need to look at is why this group , three weeks in a row , has been in winning positions but when the blow torch has been applied at the business end of a match , they have curled up and gone home when it has mattered most "

Why did you leave that out Terry ?

It is starting to sound "Spud" like isn`t it.

He also forgets to point out how decimated the Collingwood line up was ... very remiss Terry

What frustrates me the most is there is 'ABSOLUTELY NO LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL'. What an absolute disgrace to let a group of debutantes run a mock and kick multiple goals!!! There were more skills apparent at my son's Under 9's match today.

Look at the big picture lads...Tambling played an excellent first half of football, Schulz could well have finished with 4 had he not gone off, Foley played very well until he knocked up, Deledio and other kids were very solid.

Our first half success stemmed for the first time in memory from a sustained burst from the kids both in the middle AND up forward. Our 2nd half fade-out had much to do with seniors that won't be around for much longer, our lack of a competent ruck division (Simmonds will improve greatly for the run while Pattison was smashed again) and our kids not being able to extend their influence to four quarters.

There's been a lot to take away from our first three games if you're really looking and evaluating dispassionately without bringing emotion into it at every opportunity.

Football isn't about finishing 5th or 8th - it's about finishing 1st. We were never any hope to do that this season or the next, so take some heart from the reasons your 'horse' ran midfield or worse because of heartening criteria. Not because Johnson or Tivendale or Richardson or Gaspar or Bowden play out of their skin once a month - but because key youngsters who we need to stand up in the future have done so for part of a game in the last few weeks and are making solid progress toward being where we need to be when we're a genuine chance to finish 1st.

Don't sweat the 'making finals' garbage...we all know that we don't have a senior group capable of taking us there with a genuine chance of winning a flag, so why be so obsessed about extending your hopes to September when there is no hope? Worry about finishing 1st years down the track when we have a senior group worthy of placing some faith in, a talented mid-age group we've nurtured ourselves, and a talented bunch of youngsters.

Take heart in 'dead-eye' Schulz who has the conversion rate and all-round marking ability we need from a full-forward. Take heart from the best potential midfield we've had in decades which is only just beginning to show part-game glimpses of what it can become once these boys are strong and hardened enough to influence full games.

Don't let the senior player professional let-downs ruin another football year for you - they will soon be gone and leave salary cap to be better spent in their wake.

Deledio to Tambling to Schulz...from half back to a goal in three slick uncontested possessions.

Don't despair over the fact the seniors went missing as usual when it counted - focus on the things that truly count towards us finishing 1st - not 6th.

Nope, I just didn't take 6 months off over summer and use the time to fantasise that an average team will magically turn into champions, due to the same players who've let us down for the best part of a decade turning things around for the first time in their career.

Nor did I presume that the progression of our young players would be anything except slow and steady. What I care about is whether or not they're making progress - they clearly are.

lets just worry about attaining our own patch first, 9th, when we do, then we can maybe look at 6th before we can even contemplate 1st. 2011? TW man, stop sucking our dicks man. I dont worry about me, been there when we went to the top of the mountain. But FFS there are young impressioable dip sticks out there, that really hang on your every word dude. ;)

Hey.....Hello?.....You know what?
We are the only team using the 'slow and steady progression' rule on our young players!
No other team is.
Other teams are putting the young guys in to WIN games alongside the older players. Not use the team as some child rearing centre.
Not even amateur clubs do that,
THEY PLAY FOR NOW.

Wake Up...

We don't have that option - our seniors have proven they are not up to being the backbone of a side that is a finals contender. On top of that, our senior and mid-age group was so poor when Wallace took over that we don't even have the numbers to play much except young kids.

I have no doubt we'll have some heartening moments this season...a few 'stolen' wins, a few games where most of the seniors perform well on the same day and we look good...but it counts for little in the end does it?

The passages of play where 1st-3rd year players (plus our slightly older young talls) are influential are what matter.

If you're counting on a bunch of senior players who have been proven time and time again to fall by the wayside far too often in a match, let alone a season, and a bunch of kids to give us a genuine chance in September, then you'd best take your own advice and "wake up" - it isn't going to happen and you're in fantasy land if you thought it would. :)

I'd rather finish 9th or 16th than 2nd - better draft picks...and just as far away from a premiership when the next season arrives.

Worry about winning a flag...not how many other average teams we finish in front of that you can claim 'office bragging rights' over.
