Disgraceful!

People need to be less dramatic. All is not lost.

I felt our team isnt a top 4 team, even if we had all best 22 players available. We are still are a developing side with alot of improvement needed.

So its disappointing, but the bulldogs are a better team and were one kick from a grandfinal last year.

Relax, and enjoy the ride. This group will get better but we are still 2 years away from challenging for a flag.

Stop talking sense!
Don't you realise not winning the NAB Cup, or this game means the end of the world and the club is doomed???

Ok lets just conceed now and be happy for a final in which we lose because of this.

Then we can all go on about the future and how rosy it looks be happy with this year and wait for the the next few years.

I didn't say or insinuate this.

Lack of experience does not excuse the lack of effort across the entire match, but the dogs were much better prepared than us, stronger that us and were far more experienced than us. When we have a midfield of Hill, Morabito, an injured Pavlich, Crichton and Fyfe against Cooney, Cross, Boyd, Griffen and Giansiracusa, it was evident that we were never going to find it easy today.

something like 12 1st/ 2nd year players(dockers) to 4(Dishlikers)

we could have start with a 10 goal lead and still lost easily. boys on men's mission.

our best 22 is very competative.

Worst game of our history??

How long have you been a freo supporter for.

The game was disapointing, but you take any sides two best midfielders and top backmen, they still struggle against a top 4 side.

Let's not forget Palmer and Hasleby were struggling all game with injury and Pavlich needs a rest something cronic.

To be honest with a full team on the park we are a top 4 side (On this years form) at the moment we're not a top 4 side and if we finish 5-6th, nothing about this season for me has been a disapointment.

Ok lets hobble into the finals and just be happy with that. We need to change the culture of our club and supporters. For me too many quick to make excuses and say "well considering where we came from" etc etc.

The fact was we were in top 4 and have seriously blown it. Lets just hopefully hobble into 5th or 6th lose the home final but give the boys a standing ovation like last time!

I can understand your point but over estimate our list at our peril. Essendon and Knights over estimated their list and now they are a basket case.

We have alot of improvement to do. Even with Barlow and Mundy we still need to find more quality in the midfield.

Also, according to sports science it isnt useful to be over dramatic either way. Always stay even kelded and focus on what we need to do next.

We are changing the culture by winning on the road no less than 4 times this year, twice at venues that we basically have never won at.Fact we are limping into the finals. Why, injuries to top line AFL players. It will make the best sides limp aswell.

Well i have no doubt we are a top 4 side, but only when we have our key 6 or 7 fit and firing. They make the next level of players look more impressive. I guess many teams could argue that point... Hawks a classic case. In fact i liken our side to Hawks for this reason.

Now the question i put to all supporters on this site. Who has put their hand up when the chips have been down? Suban today maybe.

But if Sandilands, Pav, Mundy, Barlow, Tarrant go missing who steps up?

3 of them out today and no one stepped up to fill that void.

Kepler is one who i can say has stepped up and said i deserve to play. Now i realise it may seem dramatic but even first year or 2nd year players need to realise that they have to earn a spot.

For this reason Morabito needs to have a week rest, Roberton was poor today, De Boer, Van Berlo no pressure from them today and if that goes missing from them then im afraid they can play WAFL. Im a massive fan of De Boer but only if he can do what he does well and thats pressure.

Its a tough one to manage as off course injuries means players are playing when maybe they shouldn't.

We need to thump Eagles and get back to high pressure football.

Ok so your happy with performance and can go merrily on your way. You sound like the type of supporter who stands at the end of a finals loss to Essendon and cheer on the boys.

Im not going to stand and applaud just a show up in the finals performance. Not often you get chance to make top 4 especially 16 rounds into season and just fluff it in the most embarassing way possible.

So you contribute on there and act like a muppet on here, way to go. They've probably banned you for ranting like an idiot.

You'd be the supporter that would leave at 3/4 time anyway. I've been a supporter since day 1, don't like to see us lose, but unlike you I have some concept of good management. Focus and work on the positives and the negatives are reduced. When you jeer and berate our players they won't stand taller, they will fear failure rather than crave success.

We have performed well above expectation with a young list with a nucleus that will peak in 2-3 years. They are top 5 now against other teams that will have larger list turnover than us over the next few years. Pretty exciting, nothing to be so despondant about.

I support the selectors omitting players that need further development in the WAFL, but I don't support criticizing players when the list is decimated by injury to key personnel and unable to field a competitive team.

Who are you going to replace them all with? Who has 'earned' a position to take their place in the 22? You do realise too that these players have played a large part in getting the team to the position it's currently in?

Well said Paul.

I appreciate your reply, but that doesnt hide my dissapointment in todays EFFORT and structure. We had Ballantyne, Crichton in the middle for first bounce. Ok i do realise that all these injuries mean players having to play out of preferred position and hence our structure goes out the window. I dont jeer but i certainly dont stand and applaud like many others did when we lost to Essendon.

I never walk out at 3/4 quarter time.

I've honestly been supporter since 98.

We have to win a final this year whether thats finishing 4th or 8th otherwise im afraid the season has been a dissapointment and failure.

You can argue that point all you wish and say in 2-3 years we will be better etc. Truth is this was a season where we had things going well and we need to finish it off well.

Hey guys, I just wanted to say commiserations for today. You copped us at the worst possible time, with all of the off field controversy etc. The boys were out to make a point.

Just a couple of points I would like to make; you have unearthed a truckload of some of the best young talent in the AFL this year. But all young players get a bit weary and struggle for form later in the year. Injuries to Barlow and a few other key players haven't helped.

I think if you can get to play a couple of finals game this year, hopefully win one, you will start to get some experience into those young players, which will hold you in great steed in the years to come. It is very rare that a team of such young and inexperienced players make top 4, let along a GF, let alone a Flag. But Freo's future is very bright:)

Cheers. Your guys looked really sharp and focussed today. Well done.

Well done Dogs R Barking.

I do actually enjoy the way Dogs play football, but to see them play close to their most efficient when we were clearly down was dissapointing. The future is always bright is Fremantles motto since 1995. We have no doubt unearthed some real talent. The key will be to hold onto them!

No way could you voice this opinion on Dorckerland you would be wiped out by "Shane the Gestapo of the internet".

Well i have been!

Dockerland is like a private boys club where everything spoken is in positives and anyone who talks negatively is forced out.

Kind of like Eagles and the WA media!

WE DESERVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Allready in meltdown mode in his first month....awesome poster.

Welcome back GG

And no interaction with other clubs. How did you ever live by the rules of that society, no wonder you escaped.

This performance rates as the worst of all time for me.

Worst loss ever.

Welcome back GG

Quality post my young apprentice :D

The force is strong in this one.

Now I know that you will start frothing at the mouth when you see my name, but just take a deep breath for a second.

You are wrong.

100% wrong on this, and so is Gravy.

Ask Lach if you don't believe me.

The fact that you both feel so uptight about a thread is freaken hilarious and just a bit sad.

Bottom line is we are disappointed, all of us.

The reality is we are fading as we had 10 first and second year players in the line-up today. Along with the fact that our vets are feeling the pinch or returning from injury.

We have great talent in the side, they have belief and know how good they can be. If anything comes from this year that is it. We'll make finals and THAT single-handedly is the big payoff that NONE of us really thought we could do.

Keep the faith, we will get back to our earlier form and the step that gets us there is the Eagles..
