If you dog barks I'd hate it too if I was your neighbour, we have a dog, we have taught it only to bark at strangers.
And Im assuming your cat was on his property for him to throw a pitch fork?
If it was then its fair games, people who own cats and let them outside so they can invade other peoples properties should have pitch forks thrown at them as well as their pets.
