I get angry as hell, it costs me $180 to board Kenny when i go to Melbourne every Anzac Day holiday, if I couldn't afford to pay to board him, then I would stay home.

Yes, in January it is going to cost me over $300 to have my boys boarded for two weeks.
It ****es me off to think that some people get pets, then think they don't need to put any effort into looking after them.

BTW the only reason I have three cats is because some moron dumped two, and left them to starve. They turned up on my doorstep and I decided to take them in.
I only had one cat for years now I have three. But I wouldn't change it!

When we go away, we get these people who come to the house and feed the cats and check the place out. Bit of security and the animals get to stay home. One of our cats freaks out if he has to be boarded.

I HOPE boarded is a word. :(

I love animals, and when we move into our house (which is soon I hope! :D) we are going to head down to the RSPCA to see if we can find any cute puppies who want a loving home.

I have been brought up with cats and animals in the house and it angers me to see the way that people treat them, as if they were just toys to throw away.

The bottom line is this - if you can't afford to look after an animal, be it cat, dog or whatever, then don't get them. The same goes for boarding them when you go away. Our pets were always given the best of everything - they are treated as a part of the family.

Keep smiling

If you dog barks I'd hate it too if I was your neighbour, we have a dog, we have taught it only to bark at strangers.

And Im assuming your cat was on his property for him to throw a pitch fork?
If it was then its fair games, people who own cats and let them outside so they can invade other peoples properties should have pitch forks thrown at them as well as their pets.
The dog only barks at our neighbours when they argue. When they don't argue, the dog doesn't bark
