I agree, in saying that, as the player was hospitalised, I think that means a mandatory investigation?

Both arms pinned and slammed him. Would be atleast 3 weeks in the AFL, definitely should be suspended.

Unfortunate accident but I reckon he will get 1-2. Player was concussed. Would get weeks in the AFL. Unfortunate for both players. 10 years ago nobody would bat an eyelid

Watched it in slow motion and yes, I concede he's gone. Lucky the lad is OK and on the mend, as I don't believe that was the tackler's intention.

Yes, it wouldn't have been called ten years ago, but it was rare that the games were filmed. We've passed that now, and it's what we are taught to protect the head; we all know, as do the players.

Once again, I am glad the player is OK and hope he gets through the concussion protocols and gets back to playing soon.

Not pin both arms, attempt to roll with the tackle? clearly not intentional but the tackler has a duty of care and he didn't do enough to prevent the outcome imo

In the AFL, if somebody gets concussed then somebody else is getting suspended. Regardless of technique, intent, anything. It’s an approach written by the lawyers for future concussion cases.

Don’t know if / how this applies to local footy though.

Agree Beasley will be good but one player won’t do much. If their VFL players actually play for them it will make a big difference. It really is pointless having VFL players that don’t play for you.
