Norwood defeated by Bayswater by 8 goals
Beaconsfield to defeat Boronia by 3 goals
South Belgrave to defeat North Ringwood 3 goals
Mooroolbark to be defeated by Park Orchards 5 goals

Caught the end of Sth Belgrave v Nth Ringwood. It was a bit of a bloodbath. Mostly because the Sth forwards seemed unstoppable. The ball went end to end, but only Sth managed to score, it seemed. Muirhead off half back I thought was best player, but Nth might have been a bit demoralised by then.

Will not be the only team south Belgrave dismantle this season always a very strong outfit they put on field every week!! Forward mid back they don’t have many weak links at all

I was of the understanding they were going to drop off this year. That certainly hasn't happened. I think they'll be pretty focused on finals.

Pretty quiet crowd. Blokes were taking great contested marks and slotting them to not a huge fanfare, even when they weren't that far ahead.

Sounds like they’ll have to start buying supporters too

(I’m open to offers)

When you add in a true professional like Kristian as coach you ain’t going backwards ever a real leader on and off field

Mooroolbark over Bayswater
Boronia over North Ringwood

Have Montrose got their bang for buck with the Ayres appointment? What is it, His 3rd or 4th season? and theyve been stagnant. I can only assume he would be one of the highest paid coaches across all divisions. if not the highest.

Neither Galvin is injured

They had 18 miss out on a game round 2
There non playing 2s coach played on the weekend.

Cracking win a very much needed in the seniors.
New coach new era??? Can’t say it didn’t work on the weekend if that’s the case well done to him on flipping a new page!! Not easy to come into a club and say out with the old in with the new appears they have got them selves a good coach in the off season best of luck to him and the club moving forward!!!

Just had a look and neither have played since round 5. So you saying both been dropped and refusing to play 2s?

Bryce was struggling onfield a couldn’t commit enough to training so has retired.

Joel got rested round 7 the week after the bye. Not sure why he didn’t play on the weekend.

The Galvin boys have been amazing servants for Bayswater FNC. They owe the club nothing.

Heard the win eases some of the pressure on the coach who is doing a great job although has not been well received by some as seen by a few players not playing anymore. Unfortunately some players didn’t like hearing some home truths and a frank assessment of where they were at.

Great win at Beaconsfield too. Will be interested to see if this was just one out if the box or whether they can win a few more.

Bayswater is a club that has been treading water for a long time and I personally see this trend continuing.

Beacy were quite undisciplined and taking their own attention away from the game. Bayswater to their credit just quietly went about minding their own business and stole a win. Very strong in the backline and stopped a number of forward presses in the latter stage of the game when Beaconsfield had the opportunity to reclaim the lead.

RUMOUR DEBUNKED
Rumours continue to rumble that Dromana premiership players Jake Aarts, Dean Waugh and Ethan Johnstone are a chance to return to the Mornington Peninsula league this season. The trio are playing elsewhere this season. “The rumour is 100 percent false,” declared a well-connected MPFNL insider.

EJ GONE BUSH
Johnstone, though, has changed clubs in recent weeks. After starting the season at Heidelberg, the mercurial left footer has joined Tooleybuc Manangatang in the Central Murray league — and he slotted four goals on the weekend.

What's this about Bunk? Jake Aarts I've heard of because the played at Richmond, never heard of Johnstone and the only Dean Waugh I know of, is the little brother of Steve and Mark.
