It's sad when this happens to a club like Doncaster (started in 1909) . Mind you, from the league we have "crickets". The players are more likely to be scattered or Surrey Park regulars being pushed out for them could go elsewhere.Doncaster folded
A lot of fingers being pointed in all directions at the club (which is probably inevitable in these situations)
Committee blaming the league and the senior players and vice versa
EFNL attempted last week to have clubs move up a division from D2, D3 and D4 to avoid byes in all grades. Were unsuccessful as clubs not willing to go up in all grades. Will be a 9-club D1 with byes.
Surrey Park has apparently been the beneficiary with a group of 8-10 Doncaster senior players now training there. How you bring in half a senior team at this stage, who would know, would think it’s more likely they scatter to various clubs.
Door is open for Doncaster to return in 2026 however they’ll be basically be starting from scratch.
Before xmas lost a lot of country boys who went back to there original clubs 3 to donvale a couple to fair park since 2 weeks ago 3 to healsville 2 to east ringwood 1 to surrey park that i know of will be plenty more as well as guys giving it away .It's sad when this happens to a club like Doncaster (started in 1909) . this is true - but 5 out of 8..............if you don't make the finals you probably weren't good enough?“It doesn’t really matter who teams play”……Of course it matters! It’s a basic responsibility to provide as balanced a fixture as possible, and with 8 teams it isn’t that hard! There are people at the EFL who get paid to do this and they come up with play 5 teams 2 times and 2 teams 4 times. Brilliant! Good luck if you get on the wrong side of that draw.
Yes they are done.
Bit of a story to it & it will drop in due course.

Not good news Bobby. Sorry to hearYes they are done.

None down and one up is the likely scenario for Div 1 and below.
I think you are probably right but i do think headquarters will be working already on finding a club from outside that could potentially slot straight into div 1
I think it shows extreme maturity from the Doncaster board to not release their own statement until they are ready to often on social media it’s shoot first deal with action second, I feel that when they do release their own statement it will be well thought out and cover all aspects of their version of events. Obviously time will tell but I think it’s shows something about the people running the club are switched on and don’t feel the need to just get a statement out to satisfy everyone else’s needsI think it would have been better for Doncaster to release their own statement rather than posting a screenshot of the EFNL statement. But its also nothing to really get wound up about.
There is no doubt Doncaster will resume in Div 4 if they are able to revive. What isn't clear is what the league does with division with many clubs speculating that there will be no relegation in Div 1, 2 and 3 this year just premiers promoted to get the numbers even again.
If enough clubs give the feedback of “let’s look after our own before we worry about expansion” will that hold any value? Or you feel the league is just hell bent on 50 teams? This is 100% what they will do. Obsessed with expansion.
What other league teams would be good enough and want to play in our Div 1If enough clubs give the feedback of “let’s look after our own before we worry about expansion” will that hold any value? Or you feel the league is just hell bent on 50 teams?

It might be an interesting thing to happen after his last comment BB.Have you ever seen Bunk and Bobby together in the same room?

Care to name or just throw a blanket over every person involved ?

Curious to know who you are referring to Bunk.
