Upwey vs Healesville - Upwey the form team in the comp at the moment

Tips this week.

Mon v Olinda - 21 Points - Olinda's young guns will deliver again. Fast, exciting team - only issue with kids is consitency - should be right though for a good win and to continue a creep up the ladder.

Upwey v Heals- 32 Points - Upwey gathering some steam - another week with their Eastern players. Way to strong here.

Wand v Warby- 2 Points - Hard to win at the sand pit. Only Upwey have done it this year.

Woori v Mt Ev - 10 Points - Woori depth an issue (like 1 or two other teams i know!!) - Mt Eve maybe back on track after a few weeks off. I think we will see many teams suffer the Mt Eve syndrome throughout the year.

YG v Gem - 5 points - In form V Out of form - Should mean i tip YG however i hear a little whisper that the brookers have a few surprises this week. Hopefully this gets them up...

I notice you tipped um ,how many? none! Zero! Zilch.

Rnd 9 Tips.

Can't believe we are halfway already. Probably the most even first half of a season that i have seen. Anyside good enough on the day. With injuries taking their toll at a lot of clubs it will be interesting to see who will come out as potenial premiership material. This weeks games -

Gem V Mon - 20 points. Cracker game 1. Gembrook to field their strongest line up all year with very few missing. Home ground advantage as well. Close to 3/4 time then the brookas to kick away by a few.

Heal V Wandin - 7 points. Wandin away from home will struggle - The big open spaces will not suit them. Heals capable of winning almost any game if they are on.

Warby V Yarra Glen - 25 points. Warby will win but not by lots. Yarra Glen with two home games in a row on slosh will have to have heavy legs. Not so sure on Muir and Patty back just yet either - time will tell - my birdie is whistling louder.

Mt.E V Upwey - 18 points. Cracker game 2. Upwey are the real deal. Have managed their injuries exceptionally well. Although at Mt E, i still think too strong.

Olinda V Woori - 18 points. Cracker game 3. Olinda kids to have a miss this week. That's what you get with a young side. Hit, hit, miss. Plus Box Hill Ressies have a bye so that spells trouble for Olinda.

All games will have serious consequenses for clubs for finals aspirations and top 3 finishes. Ladder could be snapshot for final ladder come 6pm Sat.

What are your thoughts? Awfully quiet in here lately...

Hard to argue with most of that RHT. :D
Gem v Mon. Gembrook have been better for me in the last week, but Monbulk kill me. Brookers by a good margin. The Bulkers too shakey.
Heals v Wan. Heals second last. Can stay there for mine, but Wandin all over the shop, to. Healsville by 1/2 a point. That;ll get Oldtimer going! :)
Warb v Yarra. Warby probly the most consistant of an inconsistant division, but even if off the boil should cope with a better than expected Yarra.
Mt E v Upwey. The Tigers to down a pretty good side away.
Olinda v Woori. Olinda probly better than Woori at the mo, and at home should just get over the line.

gembrook v monbulk - ??????? no idea! gembrook at home by 1 point if not a draw!!!
healsville v wandin - wandin need to win away from home but not this week, healsville by 14
warby v glen - upset of the round glen by 5 points
mt.ev v upwey - mt ev real good at home, but upwey only team consistant at this point of the season. upwey by 25
olinda v worri - rumours worri with some players back, but going with exciting young olinda at home by 8

Wandin and the villains was a hedge bet. Thought the Vills would win and hoped Wandin would. I claim a moral victory for that one. :D

Anyway, I am just hitting form. That's 2 out of 5 this week. :p
 
Unbelievably even comp this year. Gembrook sitting 8th is only 1/2 a game out of 4th, and with the second best %age in the comp (109.8%)! This year is a tipster's nightmare!!!!:eek:

3 losses under a goal hurt McCavity. Win those 3 and are sitting 7-2 and in second (same position after Rnd 9 last year). Whats going on with the close losses?

Hopefully the 'new signing' will steady the ship....

Agreed RHT, but a close loss is still a loss whichever way you look at it. All in all - apart from the Olinda game (and credit should be given to Olinda for the way they played that day) - our form has not been bad, but we just can't seem to get across the line in the close ones.

Our new signing may just give us a little more experience in the tight ones. (PS your sources are good :rolleyes:).

Gem v Warb - Gembrook at home couldn;t loose again. But they will just to spite me.
Hville v Yarra - Ditto the Villains
Olinda v Upwey - Olinda good. Upwey better. Olinda might even get a crowd since Upwey fans only have to go up the hill.
Woori v Mon - Woori at home. Monbulk away. Hmmmmmmm. Kiss of death to Monbulk
Mt Ev v Wandin - Mt Evelyn too inconsistent. Wandin too inconsistent. Wandin will dig really deep to try to loose this more than Mt evelyn.

Crows are on the verge of a huge resurgence. Too bad for the Swannies.

Gembrook vs Warby - just cannot afford to drop 3 in a row at home, match of the round for mine.
Healesville vs Yarra Glen - Gibby off O/S ?, Barclay or Plozza need to shut down Kueffer, not much in it, ground will also suit YG.
Olinda vs Upwey - OFC desperate to atone for last wk, need to stay in touch with Top 3 and drag Upwey back to the pack.
Woori vs Monbulk - terrific result for Monny last week, and could do it again. Woori were outstanding last week, are up an about currently.
Mt.Evelyn vs Wandin - Mt.Ev in the same boat as OFC, need to stay in touch at the top end, difficult team to beat at home.
Pies vs Hawks - too many outs for Hawks, Lewis-Rioli-Sewell etc hurts them, even with Sir Lance-alot coming back in.

Warby Wackems v Villains - Villains couldn't beat time with a stick atm. Unless its the Glen. And it aint.
Up & awey v Monblonk - Blonkers are pretenders. Tiggers at home.
Wanderin wavers v Big Hill Bloods - Both can turn it on. Bloods turn this time.
Wore ya locks v Gembroken - Whats left of the Brookers to get the nod.
Your a Glen v Mickey Mounters - Mounters on fire.
