Interesting results today to kick the season off.
Donvale left alot out there, should've been a big win but bad kicking is bad footy
Silvan another good win against a good opposition, had them as wooden spooners, already tucking into my humble pie.
Scoresby had a good start to new division, did anyone watch FTG? How did Stephenson go?
Looks like UFTG took it up to Knox, thought Knox would've belted them
Coldstream bounced back well after a poor game last week

Scoresby too strong in first quarter - FTG improved later but damage was done. Stephenson was OK but lacked support. Tough day to exorcise past demons when your first match is Nth Melbourne colours vs Collingwood...

Scoresby easy winners vs Ferntree Gulley, seems like the gap between div 3 and div 4 isn't that big anymore.

I think the gap between the bottom of Div 3 and top of Div 4 isnt to big. But if you look at the top of Div 3.To see some of the names running around in Donvales 2s + there was no K. Djordevic, Max Otten, Kyle Wignell or Matt Leardi, they are going to be the hunted again

I think Surrey park proved that last season did they not?
I think boronia will prove that d2 to D1 is attainable as well this season

Boronia have been ready for div 1 for a few seasons now, they will be much stronger than whoever is promoted from div 2 this season imo

Hard to know the gaps really. Since the restructure to five divs this is where the promoted sides have finished (includes where they finished in the COVID half season:

D4 - D3
East Burwood 2nd
Coldstream 4th
Silvan 3rd
Surrey Park Premiers

All four clubs that have gone up have played finals, so you would say the gap is not big.

D3 - D2
South Belgrave 4th
East Burwood 3rd
Waverley Blues 2nd

Again, three sides have come up and immediately played finals

D2-D1
Mitcham 6th
South Belgrave runners up

Bit more unclear - Mitcham was ok, SB went undefeated

D1-Premier
Doncaster East last
Park Orchards 7th
East Ringwood 4th

Definitely seems like the most difficult jump

Scoresby very impressive so far and filled their boots.
FTG bounced back after Scoresby smashed them last week. Good to see their recruits hitting the scoreboard, thought UFTG would win this so don't know what to make of them.
Knox smashed Silvan who had been smashing sides, Knox will be battling for #1 Seed

Donvale should easily stroll past Coldstream. Interesting to see their team line up after their big win vs Oakleigh. Assuming Rausa and Haig are in

Scoresby to fill their boots vs Oakleigh. Amin for a bag. Oakleigh need to show something

Knox should be to good at home against FTG. Not sure what to make of FTG just yet. This will be a good test

The Basin to go back to back and upset Silvan. Should be full of confidence after a win away and they werent disgraced in round 1

Fairpark in a slog vs UFTG. Not sure what to make of these 2 sides just yet. Could be a big game come seasons end but fairpark Just
