Have heard prime train kicked 5 in the first 1/4.

Clearly a class above player having played o/m footy only 2 years ago.
Big drop to div 3

Would anyone know the record for combined score club vs club in the 3 games across the day 19s/2s/seniors

Just seen Donvale vs Fairpark
77.54.516 vs 6.13.49
Ouch

Roseberry Toorak football club lost last week
431-0 seniors
331-1 reserves last week
And that’s only across 2 games 😂

Seeing the basin only kicked 3 goals in the first qtr that is impressive
Prime kicked 3 goals for the game.

I went along and had a look on Saturday (and I am a cynic about these one off appearances) but I will say it was a terrific day. He was fantastic on and off field and his engagement with the juniors from The Basin FNC pre game was excellent. The kids absolutely loved him and he could not have been more accommodating. I am sure his hand would have been so sore considering how many things he signed for the day and the number of photos taken with him would have been in the thousands.

Fantastic crowd in attendance and lots of banter between him and the Scoresby fans. I guess if you have a profile you are going to 'cop it' but it was all in good fun. Prime played very well and the team certainly loved having him on board.

Getting to the game, The Basin were excellent. They are a very young team and look like they are on the up after last years poor showing where they were relegated. They certainly made the older Scoresby team look slow and second rate. On a bigger ground, I think The Basin's speed and quick ball movement will be advantageous.

I was also told, Prime didn't cost that much (well under $5k) and the club did very well financially from the day. They were rapt with how many people attended (especially kids) and how the day went. They did a terrific job with how the day was run and really showed how important local sporting clubs are to the community.

Well done to all involved at The Basin FNC.

End of the day if it gave the kids a buzz and made them more interested in the game down there at the basin then it’s a great thing for the junior program!! 4 points for the win and many more points for the committee being innovative and getting it down!!

Couldn’t agree more thefunnelweb. So good to see so many kids there and especially those involved at The Basin FNC.

The club there has a fantastic junior program that has seen great numbers and success over many years and the ‘one club’ approach they have is working very well I am told.

This was also supported by the numbers of their women’s footballers in attendance who were involved in the success of the day. They have 2 women’s football and 3 netball teams so that certainly says the club is doing something right as women do not hang around clubs with poor cultures/ environments.

Many clubs from my observations should take note as often when a club has not had a successful year previously things drop away, certainly doesn’t appear to be the case at The Basin FNC who are working hard with the aim of getting back to the higher division.

Well done to all concerned.

Knox over Fairpark
Oakleigh over Upper Gully
Scoresby over Coldstream
Donvale over Silvan
The Basin over Ferntree

Big day in Div 3 with some real turn around. Fair Park a win on top of signing a Div 1 forward this week. Silvan hard to beat up there but still a surprise. Gully walloped The Basin and Upper going along nicely. Coldly could be in trouble 😊
