around 37, Played his 300th a few weeks back.
Concerning thing for Bayswater is that he has been in their top handful of players this season.
37 wow and still playing Div 1 seniors fair effort!! Knew the middle brother was well past it years ago! Bryce must be earlier 30s as well then!! As a club they definitely got great value off that last name!! Galvin!

Over 700 seniors games of footy between the 3 of them. Amazing servants. But unfortunately for Bayswater there junior program has struggled with the demographic of area the last 10 years and I think it’s all starting to catch up to the senior club.

It’s starting to catch up with a lot of clubs. As well as normal operations got to keep an eye on the future 😊

They are talking about Joel Galvin not Joal Garner I think?

Joel Garner (born 16 December 1952) is a former West Indian cricketer, and a member of the highly regarded late 1970s and early 1980s West Indies cricket teams. Garner is the highest ranked One Day International bowler according to the ICC best-ever bowling ratings,[1] and is 37th in Tests.[2] Garner was a member of the West Indies teams that won their second world title in the 1979 Cricket World Cup as well as finishing as runners-up at the 1983 Cricket World Cup.

I can assure you Cliff is right, there is a Joel Garner that plays football but he is confused with Joel Galvin one of the legends of Bayswater F C.

Catching up (and caught up) with many clubs who are really struggling.

What then happens is clubs then 'raid' junior ranks of those clubs who work hard on their junior structure.
It is just swings and roundabouts now with clubs taking form others just to have sufficient player numbers and therefore survive.

Changing demographics are having a significant impact on many clubs in certain areas. This is seen in the Doncaster area, East Burwood and now Wantirna South.

I think some clubs end up building a not bad relationship though when the merge under 19 teams in the lower divison!! Like if a premier clubs has a 19s in premier then a Div 3/4 option that merge with another team it’s a good pathways for those kids to continuing playing footy as realistically if you’re not playing in the first grade under 19 team you are no chance to play seniors there so better off going to a lower divison.

The Education Dept has all the population data and can tell you the predicted school population for the next 20 years with surprising accuracy. You need to get someone from your club who works in a school to get the numbers as I suspect that you would need programs provided by the Education Dept to read and interpret the data. The population is like a wave, with a trough and a peak and is slow moving. People move into an area and have kids. The kids eventually move out and it might be another 40 years before their parents move or die, allowing a new couple in, to have their kids. Rowville, just over and Lysterfield are near the peak and Whitehorse is just starting to rise again.

Heard Stephenson walked off the ground mid way through the last quarter after spraying team mates and didnt come back on the ground.
How is it all going down there under the new coach (from memory it’s his first season maybe?) Big game in the context of the season against silvan coming up this week!

Went and watched Donvale vs Scoresby who are probably the 2 best sides in the division.
Thought Donvale won alot of the hit outs but reckon Scoresby had the better of the midfield battle. Camaleri for Scoresby was the best mid on the ground. Donvale without Haig, Rausa and Day in the engine room definitely weakens them but though Zalac and Wignell fought hard.
Donvales outside run was a massive. They had alot of speed and really chopped through Scoresby
Amin is a star. I think Pell will get the job next time if he plays
Duncan could've kicked 12. I think he kicked 8.5 and missed a few sodas.
Although Scoresby never gave in, when the whips were cracking Donvale had another gear.

Anyone enlighten us on why one of the games was called off early yesterday. My mail is a bit more than banter in the crowd and a player /players leaving the playing surface to take part. And who has the video 😊
