Great afternoon. Rams won by 38 points. No goals by anyone in the first quarter and it was some time until Rams kicked their first in the second quarter. Rams piled on the goals after that and from then on the both sides scored the same amount. Two's won again and the U19's won a tough low scoring game against Surrey Park. Their only loss was against Surrey early in the season. Another tough game next week against Vermont for them. Great to be back.

Let’s hope the Chinese Virus stays North of the Murray. It’s our turn to return to normal for once.
With a very slow vaccine roll out I'd suggest we are in for more pain. Hoping we can keep on top of it and in saying that, you can't keep flying the virus in and think all will be fine.

It's hopeless really, our testing numbers far outweigh vaccinations.

EFNL 2021: Lewis Neate bags nine in two weeks as East Burwood climbs into top four
East Burwood leapfrogged two spots on the Division 3 ladder on Saturday, with its revival spearheaded by a returning forward.

East Burwood shot up the Eastern league Division 3 ladder on Saturday to land in the top four after dispelling fellow finals contender Donvale.
The Rams leapfrogged two places with a 12.12 (84) to 6.10 (46) victory over Donvale, landing in third spot.
East Burwood senior coach Stuart Wynd certainly knew what was at stake on Saturday, with the win marking two in a row for his side after dropping three on the trot ahead of the season hiatus.

“It was an old-fashioned eight-pointer, and if they (Donvale) had won, it would have put them a couple of games ahead of us. It was just a crucial game that we had to win if we wanted to stay in touch,” Wynd said.
In what Wynd described as a “stalemate” in the opening term, in which both sides failed to kick a major, the floodgates opened in the second quarter as the Rams piled on seven goals to one, to lead by 38 at the main break and set up the win.
“We started getting some clean footy out of the middle and giving our forwards a much better look at it, whereas the first (quarter) was a bit scrappy,” Wynd said.
“Once we went around the outside, we started moving the ball a bit better and around the stoppages we started getting on top.”
Lewis Neate again featured in the goalkicking for East Burwood with three, following up from six the week prior in the victory over the Whitehorse Pioneers. The forward has booted 13 majors from seven appearances this season – including nine in the past fortnight – and hasn’t missed a beat after a run in the reserves in Round 6.
“He’s come back well,” Wynd said.

“He didn’t have a great pre-season and that didn’t help him – he wasn’t in the best shape … we had to put him back in the reserves … he got a bit of confidence up and since he’s been back, he’s been outstanding. He’s flying for marks and competing really well for us.”
Meanwhile, Kyle Grenda also booted three to be named among the best, while Jai Middleton kicked two. Inside bull Matt Mariani was named best afield, while Jason Kennedy, Aiden Stephens, Jackson Bersey and Eddie Rixton also featured.

The Rams have also seen returns from Ed McCutchan and Shaun MacDonald in the past fortnight, with the midfield pair missing the block of three matches the club lost.
Wynd said his side was “smashed in the midfield”, but remained competitive against the Waverley Blues (25-point loss), Ferntree Gully (10-point loss) and Warrandyte (25 points).
“We didn’t get beaten by a lot … I certainly don’t think we got smashed out of the water and we were a little bit below that – we look forward to playing them again next time around and see how we go,” he said.
East Burwood takes on the Glen Waverley Hawks away in Round 12.

Rams sneak in by 9 points. Good on you Spider!
U19's had a good win over Vermont.

Perhaps will be at the MCG of East ,Walker Park, Cliff.
Are Mitcham going to put in for finals under the new shortened finals format GMac?
The League should be expecting much lower bids than on previous years as clubs only start to make some money over the prelim and GF games.

Saw FTG & for a side that has lost 1 game they were ordinary. Perhaps just a poor day out, but WB just kept hanging in there.
Last few minutes were good with the ball locked in the FTG forward line. Really desperate footy.
The Ground was very choppy away from the centre.

Surely with the reduced amount of games, the EFL has to cut the price for clubs to pay to host the finals? Otherwise, it's a financial loss in the making. I would suggest any club would be crazy to put their hand up. The clubs cannot afford to lose money during the season and finals. It's a cluster waiting to happen unless the League shows some leadership.

FT 3.16, was it bad kicking or just pressure footy from WB? Sounds like it was a tough day of football.

Talking about finals venues at Ringwood they are pulling their grandstand down and replacing with a indoor cricket training venue.Of cause there are new rooms currently being built next to the current rooms/grandstand but surprised they are doing this.

Me too. More than likely there won't be any more grandstands built in the eastern suburbs.

Maroondah have done a marvellous job with these new modular buildings. Cuts the building time dramatically. Started with Heathmont, doing it a Springfield park for the grid iron and also at jubilee. Think the baseball club behind Ringwood aths getting similar as well. Leaving Knox and Yarra ranges in their dust with ground development and playing surfaces.

Nasty clash of heads just on half time ended up with a Nth Ringwood boy being taken to the Alfred. Second half started 30 min late due to the wait for the ambulance. Hope he's OK.

Two games now Bob. Lost to Donvale by a point. Big couple of weeks coming up for EB Bob. Next week Waverley Blues and then FTG. I we can win those two we stand a great chance of playing finals. Ladder very close from 2nd to 6th with only a game different between them.

Young boy is ok and was released from hospital Saturday afternoon. A sore head today
