If that is true all senior clubs should say no we are not playing.Who and the hell is going to enforce that one as the volunteers that could do will be banned. No gate,no canteen,no bar,no social rooms, why should home clubs do this and make a loss financially.Perhaps the clubs that are financially OK can absorb the loss. Not happy if that is true.Perhaps all players, umpires do for no payment and even the EFNL reduce fees.

players can play for free but umpires should always be paid

Not all individuals playing for Berwick live there. Much like Doncaster many of their players live more inner. The 25kms would have been interesting.

Crowds were significantly well down the week no one was to watch or so I was told……….if the same rules apply I believe a similar result would apply.

Allowing 100 outdoors - so I’d say they would allow some crowd?

Not sure by the time you allow for players & officials 2 games there isn’t much left. The weekend with no numbers would have been around 100 at the oval I was walking at when the seniors were on. People were spaced etc.

There is next to no travellers so it becomes the home clubs issue. Fencing and access become an advantage in limiting numbers, clubs with open park scenarios have no chance. Most individuals will respect the rules for the week.

Community sport: • Open for all ages, training and competition. Density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm applies • Limited to minimum number of people required to participate in and facilitate the activity (i.e. players, coaches) Spectators not allowed (excludes people necessary for events such as teachers, instructors, trainers, coaches, umpires, carers.

Seniors may not start this week. One training session not enough preparation to throw guys into a full game. Start the following week could be a possibility.

Not sure how accurate but I do know it is a consideration for some at club land.

Makes the most sense. Prevent soft tissue injuries.

Makes sense to train Thursday night and again Saturday morning. No crowds it seems Saturday week as well, makes it extremely hard for the clubs and EFNL to make a decision. How about clubs that have 2 home games in a row coming up.Edit Bloody hell and just checked the current fixture and Mitcham,Fair Park and Forest Hill next 2 games are at home.

Will clubs make the call and not play due to no income. Do Clubs say to the players, we can't have spectators so there is no real income, will you play for free? Are clubs video meeting with the EFL to discuss?

Update - I was just informed that ALL Clubs are waiting on the EFL to make an announcement.

It’s always the focus and I don’t think that’s overly fair. Why is it only ever player wages? There’s a hell of a lot more costs to running a footy club. Will the umpires be free? Will league affiliation fees be reduced? Will there be free trainers, medical suppplies?

Agree and I should have listed everyone that draws an income. Will everyone drawing an income do it for nothing?

What is more important, the survival of our clubs or our footballers who are doing it tough income wise because of covid.Realise a tough question and we are all hurting because of no local footy.

I just don’t know how it works from here. Zero income. Other than the obvious few in Premier Div, clubs aren’t sitting on money. So what happens? Every player get levied an amount to pay for the rest of the year? Are they gonna pay?

One week was different, you can absorb that. Another 3 weeks…?

Personal opinion not club I think senior wise we do not play.Clubs survival financially is No.1.BUT lets get our U19,s and juniors on the park.2 home games coming up for us and I can not go,not happy.

Plenty of people at local football today, it's just too hard to police. The Rams came to play and defeated the Bloods. A tough game of football and thank you to the East Burwood Football Club for streaming the game. I did miss having my Burger and catching up with people but I least got to watch the game.

EB with a full squad is a tough side to beat. They’ll give it a shake this year, but winning any GF is never an easy task.
Their aim this year was to be competitive (tick). They have a crack every game (tick). Have some depth in the Reserves (tick). No one is talking Premierships at the Rams. :)

Good win but question was there a gate there today, canteen and bar open and did every one do the right thing and follow the no crowd rule.I did today and it was hard as even though we were not playing was tempted to get my dog and walk around East Burwood or even Nunawading.Settled on winter cricket at Mullauna for a while but do you mind cricket in winter.

I took the imaginary dog to Fairpark for a walk, decent crowd there, hardly anyone wearing a mask
