On paper, Round 15 seems very predictable for tipsters.
NOBs will defeat Ormond in the their fourth home game in five weeks (how does that work?)
Old Geelong to defeat MHSOB at home.
Peninsula to kick the highest margin against Willy at home.
Old Mentonians to comfortably defeat St Johns in Doveton.
Whitefriars to defeat Glen Eira at home.

After several weeks of wet weather, a fine few days brought the sniff of Spring for those looking at finals.
Whilst games went according to expectation, some of the winning margins were amazing.
The Pirates yet again recorded the highest winning margin with a whopping 35 goals and 160 point demolition of Willy.
Whitefriars weren't far behind with a 146 point flogging of Glen Eira.
And NOBs accounted for Ormond by 84 points.
The other two games were a wee bit closer.
It looks the four are set in stone.
The point of interest remaining before the finals is the Round 17 clash between Glen Eira and Willy.
Will Glen Eira send the CYMS down to D2 or will Willy wind by enough to push Glen Eira into relegation?

NOB's were good, but the score was not a true reflection of the game which was acknowledged by their coach. Ormond at one stage only had 16 players on the ground due to injury and a couple who couldn't even move were but back on in the last QAt this stage i rate the Pirates the best side, closely followed by NOBS and Geelong at their best can beat anyone.

This season looks all too familiar. Whilst I'd like to see the Pirates salute, it's got NOBS written all over it. Should be an interesting few weeks before the big dance if history is anything to go by...

And here I was thinking the D1 forum was going to get interesting, and someone goes and deletes their post.

I watched a couple of qtrs of the Peninsula game on the week end and they looked like they rested a couple and they should win it. St Pats not in same class....

I've got a 30th Anniversary Grand Final Reunion Lunch tomorrow that will no doubt last until the wee small hours, so I'll get my tips in early for Round 16.

I'm not sure if Whitefriars has played at the infamous Gunn Reserve before. It's a fair bit different to their own dung heap and they'll need to be on the job. I think this is a danger game for them but I'm tipping the Friars just.
Willy simply has to beat St Johns by a fair marging to boost their percentage and start on even terms with Glen Eira in Round 17 for the relegation decider. Both games at Fearon Reserve won't hurt Willy.
NOBs should easily account for MHSOB.
The Oggers should defeat Old Mentonians.
Peninsula will defeat Glen Eira.

Thought it was a bit rough getting stuck into Glen Eira For one players (41) racist comments. Disappointing that no one from glen eira told their teammate to cut it out and there has been no apology from the club, but what would you expect from a bunch of try hard tattooed gangsters.

Kruzering, this is the first we have heard of the matter and I can assure you that even though most of your posts are pure rubbish we will fully investigate the matter and issue a apology if it is found to be correct. We are a multicultural club and take acts of racism very seriously.

That is good to hear.

In addition I would also like a personal apology for the bolded comment. There is no need for personal attacks, I have always been very respectful on this forum and would like the same in return.

I think you yourself owe the entire Glen Eira club, both players and supporters, a personal apology, referring to our club as " a bunch of try hard tattooed gangsters>" I find that offensive.

Die Hard Fan, I agree that your club deserves an apology, Kruzering says there is no need for personal attacks, then he turns around and say that about a club. Wasted education.

How would you describe your club?

Gongy probably should do a spell check before bagging someone about their education.

Another wet Saturday resulted in some close games except for the Pirates who once again kicked the highest winning margin with a 71 point drubbing of Glen Eira.
Ormond stayed right with the Friars before they got on top in the second half and went on to beat the Monders by 50 points.
Willy had to kick 6 goals in the last quarter and keep a gallant St Johns goalless to win by 14 points.
MHSOB gave the NOBs a huge fright with only a point the difference at the last change before NOBs did enough to snatch a 6 point win.
Old Mentonians pushed the Oggers all the way and only failed by 3 points in a low scoring game.

How would you describe your club?
I would class our club as a very good family club. Yes, we have both players and supporters who have tattoos, but I wasn't aware that that made us "try hard tattooed gangsters" and I venture to suggest that you would have people in your club who have tattoos.

Looked like a rabble that players weren't focused and stuffing around like high school kids before the game...and play at a high school standard. Add that to the racist comments on field and no twos players staying to support, not a club that leaves a good impression. D2 is where you belong.
