It is a tight comp apart from Rovers, just wait and see.
The Ressies is tight for the top 3, Geelong will not play finals in the 1sts and that might give them the edge.

I reckon by Round 16 we would have a fair idea who 1) will be playing finals (apart from the Rovers who are already there; and 2) who will be dropped to Division 2 for 2014.

The Rovers game plan appears to be pretty obvious to me.

A lot of running forward of the ball and a very clear objective to bring the ball out of defense down the opposite side of the ground in which it came in. As well drilled as they are in carrying this out and being predictable to each other, perhaps a few clubs will come a little better prepared second time around??

Next week is a possible finals preview, Williamstown CYMS v Hampton Rovers. The way the ladder looks now these two teams could meet in the 2nd semi final.

I can tell you one ground that might be a likely venue for the VAFA to use for Division 1 finals, and that is Harry Trott Oval, which is Collegians home ground, and is next door to the Junction Oval.
