Well how would we know Cliff,numerous final scores currently not on the EFL web site.

As for Balwyn a perhaps example of whether they have the junior development program in place which has questioned by many in the past when they did not have 19's

The most successful EFL clubs over a long period of time currently have the best junior program ,Vermont,Blackburn,Norwood,Rowville,etc..

On a lighter note if the re developed Walker Park,Mitcham is not the best ground surface in Victoria I would love to see one better.

Looking at Balwyn's 2's results for their games so far indicates that Balwyn might struggle if they have any injuries over the season.
 
What's going on GMac. I saw that earlier post about Balwyn's U19's and reserves. Was it inaccurate?
 
Big win for the bulldogs today . Blackburn are a good side . Any thoughts from any neutrals that were at the game???
 
Didn't get there Richard, but have been hearing the Big Man has been sensational.

What I am finding at this early point is that the competition is far more even. If a side is not on at any given day they are a genuine chance to lose a game against any opposition - which is great. Points system slowing kicking in? Certainly some clubs have lifted improved their lists and the gap has decreased.
Depth is going to play a strong part as we go deeper into the season, as quite a few clubs are limited in this area. The Eagles are looking OK to me.

Looking forward to the outcome of todays game as I feel both sides have improved significantly.
 
searching thru results and noticed round 1 Montrose v Doncaster . Doncaster Player points 48/47.
1 point over. Interesting............ . What happens there?? fine or the 4 points taken of them??
 
Might want to check that Dick, we have some pretty handy lawyers at our disposal.
Would have thought such allegations are libellous, let alone the suggested solutions. ;)

Why,Dick has made an observation and made comment.He is wrong by the way,LOl.Interesting with the points which I totally agree with.Sides this round that have max points in what I can see,Blackburn,Mitcham and Doncaster and I am not critical of these clubs because of this.Perhaps the message goes out there to all EFL clubs and probally most competitions the importance of a good junior program,they are the most important part of a good footy club.

Low and behold doncaster are now 45 / 47 for that round. Got some one to change it did we, Don't make me out that I'm some sort of dickhead mate give me a bit more respect please. you have just made a fool of yourself

Now that you got someone to some how change it might ask a few more questions. hiding something are we bobby and doncaster

Edited - Just having some fun with you RL. That why there was a wink inserted.
The initial response was pretty dull.

There was an error made in Round 1, not at club level. There was a misunderstanding as to whether the League or Club needed to make the correction.
The points are audited by the League and are correct.

The points are there for all too see, you can't cheat the system.
Perhaps ease up on the reactions - Fines/Take away 4 points etc. Jumping at shadows.

Gmac. I am not wrong. doncaster in that round were 48/47 It was written up there. I counted there player point 3 times mate. I was just commenting originally as it was odd. I was not going on any witch hunt but now bobby has tried to make me out a fool. The points now state 45/47 . They have been changed I am telling you. Come on Bob tell me what s going on??

well it did for that round. probably was a admin error . as i said no withchunt .but bobs reaction and this editing and changing the points back 9.30 on a friday night. mmmmmmm
what does happen when you play over the points?? fine or lose the 4 points

Richard, you know that you can always check things like that by going to the Wayback Machine, put in the URL of where you saw the information and by going back to a date before the Friday you can see the web page for that day. A screenshot would show what was on there.
That said, every club submits their player's salary and points totals to the EFL. Supposedly they check them to ensure they are accurate. The teams that are submitted each week have their points tallied to make sure they are within the limit. It would seem more than likely it was an error.
Penalties for exceeding the total allocated limit can be found in the following document. See Section 10 for Enforcement details.

Good on you cliff. Thanks for the heads up. I found it very odd and not right that when I questioned it that the points got changed straight away. I still find it hard to understand and strange that someone from the club can change the points like that.
Anyway the player points are definitely evening things up in first division.:D
