Is it a rumour? Murrumbeena posted they recruited Lucas Cloke on their Instagram. I'd suggest losing loyal Ormond key forward Tolongs is a bigger loss in comparison.

Can confirm PEGS have picked up quality ex school players that played EDFL, vfl, local country leagues, that have all made an effort to come back and play old boys. Team is stacked. 90% pick ups are talented ex school kids. Led by Len Hannah who is a school teacher, ex Calder cannons, Fagan type coach.
Great culture at the moment.

About 32. They may have problems. Seems a few SFL clubs are in a similar boat. In the ammos it looks like Eley Park can only raise a seniors. We played Murrumbeena in the under 19s. Both clubs had about 10 on the bench. GE too good. Off to Payran for game 1 Saturday.

Have I heard correctly that most D1 clubs are struggling to fill 3 sides?

GE have three senior sides this week. Under 19s had a full side and defeated Marcillin well tonight under lights.

GE had good wins against Prahran yesterday. Thirds lost and under 19s also won. I think girls had a walkover.

I would suspect that it will be a rough season down at Ferndale Park with St Mary's really struggling. I hope they can improve as they are a wonderful club with some wonderful people behind the scenes. All the best to them.

Some interesting results in Rd 1 but hard to get a true read not knowing how many were out with Covid or close contacts etc. Makes for an interesting season for sure and all clubs in with a shot this year IMO
