Yeah sorry, I was recently rescued from an island with Gilligan! The Skipper too ...

I guess it will play out throughout the season.

If we put the GF to the side for now, I personally think WB were the second best team all year with OP and Brunswick a flip of the coin for the next best placed. As such, overachieved is not how I would have suggested things transpired. But what would I really know .....

Agree with your sentiments. We discussed on the Div 2 thread, but Ivanhoe were a level above the others last year.

It's a new season and Div 1. I suspect WB will be mid-pack, but without knowing Ivanhoe's current situation, they were a powerful unit last year. Big and strong. Fabulous structure and running patterns. It felt like they were coached in contemporary AFL structures .... oh wait ... Anyway an exciting season awaits Chump!

New senior coach, but same coaching group just transitioning roles (all with elite system playing/coaching credentials) so a few new things this year I would imagine with a focus on developing our young lists within an improved standard of footy.

I am hearing, not just with us, but player availability due to some travel will play a major role in shaping games through season 2023.

Can confirm DJ ..... TP by at least 8 goals and looked very good. Good around the contest, some pace and kept going when the Vultures slowed.

Not sure about UHS this year - rumours of poor numbers but I see potential of back to back drops.

It was a good effort considering they jumped us in the first 10 minutes. From what I saw I’m sure both sides had players out with cricket finals. It gave GE the opportunity to play a lot of their new faces. Next week it’s Mazenod, firsts, seconds, under 19s and girls.
