Considering Boundy’s best against a top side is 5 goals and they lost by nearly 10 goals, I think blaming the loss on his absence is a bit far fetched. Uni High having 17 more scoring shots is a bit of a flogging, I don’t think one player would’ve made that much of a difference.

Speaking of influential/gun players, who seems to be best in the comp so far? fwd? mid? def?

Nitas 56 goals surely worth a look
Boundy also worth a look
Don’t think yarra have much fire power up forward. Just lucky they have a small ground and small posts.
Best midfielder potentially Brandon Jackson from uhs seems to kick a lot of goals from the middle.
Yeo best defender possibly best player (most influential) in d2. He plays they win

Mate harbeck has kicked 52 in 12 games.

Simon Yeo is the back backman by a mile.
You need to have a look at Warren Jeffrey then. Not doubting there are other good ones out there, but “Waz” is like a blanket and gives the forwards nothing. As good as any in the comp.

We’ve shown we can match it with the best in the competition throughout the year. We were beaten by 8 points on WF home ground, with chances to pinch it, and had one really bad game against UHS who were a well-drilled and skilful side. They deserve to be on top. Still an open race and a few sides could take the title on their day.

Let's hope Harbeck is back from holiday/injury to face "Waz" this weekend, should be a good contest by the sounds of things.
No doubt OP deserve to be in the conversation as favourites still, although this weekend may give further clarity. All 4 teams are still in with a good chance, UHS ahead for now.

One thing i've noticed is that UHS and Yarra seem to consistently get a good spread of goal kickers, not overly reliant on one forward (despite harbecks 52 it seems)

Seen UHS play a few times, I don't remember them having any standout defenders, more of a whole team thing which i guess is obviously working. Saying that, I think any of the good forwards on their day should be able to score comfortably as long as they get good delivery from their mids. I have not given uni much chance this year but i think i am starting to consider them as possible flag contenders.

YV vs Parade has been the game i have most been looking forward to for the past weeks. I will be there eager to see who comes out on top. With harbeck and moore i think yarra could take it which would send a strong message to the rest of the division but if boundy plays who knows as i think hes absence against uni could have been what cost them the game.

Boundy didnt play, even though I think he was listed...Not sure what Parade Coach will do this week aginst YV as Parade cant lose 2nd spot, do you rest players with niggles, or give them hit out for a qtr. Ive heard parade coach speak, very level headed and doesnt panic..will be interesting on smaller ground at YV this week, might trk over and have a gander..

Interesting point you make about the top 4 being locked (same goes for YV). Does either team risk players, or try new things/mix it up a bit? For mine at this level of footy form/momentum is the most important factor so i'd be putting the best team possible on the park if I were either coach.

Think both clubs will play it smart and safe. No point risking players who could aggravate injuries. And no point revealing a full game plan only 2 weeks from finals. Wouldn’t be surprised to see players in all sorts of different positions. Given Yarra’s status as favourites it’s very likely these two will meet in the finals so they’ll play this game with that in mind.

Tips:
Emmaus 2
YV 10 (Yeo all over Boundy)
UHS 80+
Powerhouse 30 (MHSOB stacking the 2s)
Whitefriars 80+
Emmaus by 4 goals.
Honestly can't pick this without knowing the teams, all this talk of "superstars out". I'll go with YV for the fact they're at home. 2 goals. Can anyone in the know about these two sides provide more insight?
UHS 120+
Powerhouse by 6 goals.
WF by 10 goals.

Boundy out
Harbeck in

Is my guess

Will be a huge shootout

EMMAUS 2 goals
Yv by 10 harbeck 6
Uhs 12 goals
Powerhouse 6
Wf 4 goals

Emmaus by 34
Yarra by 40
UHS by 130
Power House by 7
Whitefriars by 30

Emmaus will fight to avoid relegation and beat Bulleen temp with home ground advantage.
Yarra will outclass parade at home this week. (Heard harbeck & Moore in)
UHS will make light work of eltham
Melbourne High appears to be stacking 2’s, powerhouse to take the win
Whitefriars to beat St. John’s in a scrappy game

My boys YV still have a bit of star power out but should win easy. YV by 30
UHS-VU watched them on weekend, they play a bad brand of footy. UHS by 100+
Powerhouse by 40
WF by 100+
