Gee there are a few dum dums on here who think there would be no video.

Easy to identify too, as there are only two helmets at parade. The other one can be ruled out of this incident as the 20+ hour trip home from Europe resulted in kicking the dew off.

Maybe a like for like selection this week.
Lol, please post the video then?

Clearly above someone said parade filmed.

I thought most of not all finals would be filmed by both sides?

Also say Parade is the only one that filmed, surely if the VAFA came to them and said they knew something had happened and they require the footage, they’d be required to hand it over rather than withhold it?

Was it the Whitefriars guy who kicked it out on the full that got attacked?

Looks like it. Was drifting off to his left not watching and KO'd. The injured player didn't take any part in the game after this 2nd quarter smash according to posts. Serious incident to attack a player unprotected in a dead ball situation. Don't know enough about the club but surely number 7 can't be the captain?

No grand final for that bloke!

Will be lucky to start playing by Rd 6 next year. Ammos love giving 2-3 week penalties for trivial matters. The book should be thrown at this thug!
Will be barracking hard for the Mighty Uni High like all other Ammo fans this week.

Having played against him for many years have always thought Kanda was a hard but fair player. Probably a bit out of character but should cop his right whack for that. At least four weeks. Especially if he was knocked out.

Fair bit of character assanation on here, obviously he got it wrong but from watching the game there was a lot worse actions on field that day but just weren’t as bad impact.

I doubt he would of intended to knock him out. Anyone who has played a lot of footy would be expecting some contact after giving the team a goal but unfortunately for the player he was not.

Whitefriars flew the flag after the incident but didn’t win enough contested football when it really mattered.

I think you Whitefriars supporters on here should stop sooking about this incident and umpires and start looking at ways of improving your club to get out of D2 next year.

Actions are what he has to own. The club saying they don't know who it was initially to the VAFA is categorically an insight into the workings of those in control at Parade. Waiting for the G Train to respond

I’m curious.
1) Did you post this without watching the video above?

2) which incident was worse then running from 20m away to knock a defenceless bloke unconscious?

3) Character assasination generally doesn’t involve video evidence forming the undeniable fact. Why would people try to ruin the reputation of a bloke that has just done that all by himself

4) Do you think he gets 6 or 8 weeks?

Agreed and well said plums.. I'm pleased to see there is video evidence of exactly what occurred. The actions taken by the player are 100% his own and given it was not in play and the result of the injury (concussion), he deserves to get a least 5 weeks and rightly so. You just can't do that in this day and age.

There seems to be a few OP's members on here that are trying to stick up for their player and I'm sure he's a good person who made a mistake, but it's a big mistake and caused serious injury. In the heat of the moment, in a big finals games, these incidents do occur and I hope the player, the clubs and the league learn from it.

I’m not aware of what goes on at Parade but I’m pretty sure any club would be trying anything to get players off missing grand finals.

If you say your club would not means your kidding your self.

There was punches and elbows thrown during the game by both sides, I think they are worse of football incidents, as I think the player should of been expecting contact after giving away a goal in a final.

Lol a few niggles are worse than running 20m and belting someone in the head when play has stopped? Right, now the responses of OP make sense

Stop taking the piss. He’s kicked it out on the full therefore should be expecting to be lined up off the ball.

Hope you never kicked it out on the full
