Uni High too good on the day. Deserved their win. Our guys tried, but nothing seemed to work. We had one player off with what looked like a bad knee injury. Our ruckman was hobbling from early in the game, and I also understand one player sustained a broken hand or arm. Not a good day on many fronts. We are better than the scoreline in the GF, we just didn't show it on the day. Interesting speech from the Uni High coach. He can say what he want i suppose, his team won.

I'll leave it up to any WF supporters that stayed for the main game to comment on the umpiring. They are usually good at that. Normally i don't like to comment on the men in yellow, and today I REALLY don't want to comment.

There was a player in a helmet running around for WF in the Reserves. Any chance it was the same player that had concussion last week ? If so, I'd question the medical people at the club to allow him to play just seven days after being so badly concussed, he missed half a game the week prior. If it wasn't him, then play on.

No comments so far on the Uni High player that was reported and sent off. No doubt they will also be presenting video footage to the VAFA

I know you wouldnt be used to A grade quality umpiring, massive difference in standard from last week and huge gulf from regular season when your club umpire gets you over line. What happened, did they actually penalise your players for their cheap shots from the start?

Probably has the same doctor as Mitch Brown

Why have Parade lost the footage again?

Clearly facts aren't your strong suit are they. We didn't supply club umpires in D2. Only in Reserves. And I wouldn't be taking pot shots about club umpires, because the Uni High Reserves umpire is one of the absolute worst going around.

I also wasn't aware that they don't have a holding-the-ball rule in A Grade. Either that, or they just forgot how to apply the rule to one of the two sides that weren't Uni High.

The umps didn't make the difference to the result, but they were poor.

I know, the VAFA just appoint Parades own umpire to big clashes.

What does the Uni High club umpire got to do with this?

This is the biggest thing I notice, in the divisions umpires will pay HTB at ridiculous levels, pick up the ball, tackled immediately and ball knocked out, HTB. In A grade they pay it properly, they actually follow the rule about prior opportunity. You dont see 70-80 free kicks a game up there like you get lower down.

Just watching the replay, saw OP get a HTB that probably should have been too high to UHS, but you win some, you lose some. When was the report?

Didn't a Uni High player get sent off with a red card ? Maybe I'm wrong, but i thought that meant a report

Last quarter by the VAFA TV which is up! Looks like a sling tackle - OP player straight up. Might contest - who knows. What interests me was the player from OP that wore a helmet in I think the rubbed out captains players number 7. Laughable attempt at who knows what? Can't comment on the umpiring b/c we left with the Cup and yes the young bloke was cleared to play. Heard your video was doctored not to show the foul act which was another farcical attempt at deception. As we were leaving late in the first quarter loved the female and male trying to put it on UHU about supplying the video [if they only knew] of the guilty bloke. Clearly they have no idea of right and wrong. He hit Maxie when he wasn't looking end of story crap act full stop

The umps WOW what did you expect? UHU bloke looking at the VAFA video looks like a sling. Almost the same as helmet head striking Maxie off the ball? Joke. Had to laugh as we left with the cup at the female "supporter" trying to give it to the UHU bench about supplying the video - it's 2018 not 1918. Candle head hit Maxie when he wasn't looking way off the ball - end of story. Let himself down and his team. Everyone was supporting UHU and justice was doe. Hope they are enjoying the rewards. Umpires were poor - crap excuse.

Haha. Thanks doc. I'd question the people at your club wanting to appeal the decision after him being so badly concussed

So badly concussed but played the next week. Yeah that sounds right..
Wasn't even able to produce a doc certificate at the tribunal

Concussions are a funny thing, sometimes you are fine, others you are dead.

Nothing should been taken away from the level of cowardliness displayed by OPs captain in the premlim.

Hopefully this suspension will curb his future behaviour, who knows the VAFA may have saved a life in the future.

Agree with your comments although he is very well aware of his mistake and takes responsibility for it.
His record prior to this incident has been impeccable over a long period of time.

The best side won on GF day and the best two sides were promoted.

Time for everyone to stop dwelling and move onto 2019.

Some dissapointing umpire abuse at 14.40 here, this bloke any relation to Kandilikos?

Not sure who this Kandilikos bloke is you are referring to, but while you’re watching movies on the internet, may I suggest ‘Frozen’...
