From what i'm told 19's numbers are pretty good as well. I'm not involved down there anymore but still chat to all the boys and the vibe is really good and as mentioned numbers are great.

Seems to be the way to get up the grades and to guarantee a few new fresh recruits every year. I’ve heard that’s this is the first year that GE get a few graduates from their 19’s... or is it McKinnon highs 19’s?. Will be curious to see how many play seniors. Still it’s better than grabbing blokes from the pub to fill the reserves. We’ve got a few connections through the women that will help out but nothing like an u 19 pathway. Definitely the way to move forward

Yeah Women's footy was huge for us. I think we picked up 8 players last year that were connected to the womens team in some way. If clubs get the "one club" thing right it can make a huge difference.

Been saying this for a while, I think this benefit and aspect of the growth of women's footy has been overlooked and underrated. It will and has already revitalised some struggling mens only clubs and having a women's team is already paying off for many.

More McKinnon Secondary they are. No real cream though, mainly Ormond cast offs. Watched patches of both training nights this week and the standard is ordinary to say the least .

Love it when Ormond persist in bagging GE. Thanks for your cast offs that are no good but got us an under 19 and senior flag last season. Sour grapes re McKinnon college. Also Bedford suggests you are struggling fielding an under 19s at present. I repeat why not worry about your division and your club instead of worrying about us useless footballers.

Played in a flag with St Kevin’s and another with Norwood (EFL / Div 1). Far too talented to be waltzing around in this grade, but if he’s playing for fun with school mates - good luck to him.

Sorry , but you did mention me.The Under 19 problem is due to the last 2 years of 17's where they missed the GF , due to an admin error , not the senior club and last years coach , but i'll say no more about him. So you have kids from the SC wanting to play with school mates and a few staying at DLS. I'm over the McKinnon thing , as your club has got in and done well.

Good luck to them I say. Us down at Ross Gregory have grade clubs all around us and others, really we have no chance of a u19’s pathway. One things for sure if we ever somehow managed to get under 19’s we certainly wouldn’t take them for granted

When Monash pulled out maybe 4-5 years ago?
Word out today. St Johns have pulled the pin on D2 and left it with 9 teams. GE had a triple header first game but that's out the door. St Johns said they have 50 players and would be more competitive in D3.
