Manningham forfeiting magooos in round 2, hopefully it's injuries and not lack of players....

I believe COVID and injury-related. Hope so for their sake, and the sake of the comp. After two years out, no one wants to see blokes missing games of footy, nor club's struggling.

Rnd 3 after the Easter break and some important clashes across D2

Aquinas v Power House - the Ringwood fraternity has started well and will be looking to make it 3 in a row in what is shaping to be a much improved season to last year. The House still looking for their first win to open their account. I think the Home team will be too strong and grab the W.

Yarra v Brunswick - sees the Wicks also going for 3 in a row after massive victories in the first two rounds. The Yarra guys have not started the way they would have hoped and could again be in for a long afternoon as one of the 'hot' teams looks to continue their great start to the year.

OP's v MHSOB - will be a cracker. The Pirates bounced back with a very good win last week and are always hard to beat at the Garvey. That said, the Unicorns 2nd quarter against the Hoers last week showed what they can do when they are on and if they bring that for 4 this week they will be too strong for OP's in what will be a tight affair.

Bulleen Temp v Cobras - a local derby that has A LOT riding on it with a young Ants team looking for their second win verses a Cobras outfit looking to get off the mark in season 2022. The Ants current form line and home ground advantage will see them take the points in what should be another close game.

Ivanhoe V West Brunswick - under lights for the second year in a row and what a game this promises to be. The Westy's gave the Hoers and absolute smashing last time they played in season 2021 (at West Brunswick) and I know the club is keen to put in a far better showing in season 2022. IMO the West Brunswick team is one of the top 3 teams in it and so it will be a huge test for the Hoers with a few still unavailable. That said, at home (and Selwood playing his first game for the club) will hopefully help my mob get over the line....just.

Have a great weekend everyone, no injuries.

Chump.

IMO there hasn't been this much excitement at Hoe Park since The Natural debuted in the early 2000's.

What happened at Parade? Turned in on in last qtr to roll MH?
MH had all the momentum in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, but a couple of late ones to us in the 3rd gave us some real hope and our pressure was sensational in the last, with goals coming as a result. MH have some super players, so for us to come away with the chocolates, with a side that included 6 young lads with a combined total of about 20 senior games is unreal.
Also, don’t underestimate the will to win for a teammate in his 200th game. A stirring victory 👍👍
