I think Sniper could be refering to Bentleighs rumoured move to the Southern league, so thats one not sure where the other one comes from?

But this is all rumour and its back to D3 for the Saints and looking forward to a more successfull year but would want to pick up a few recruits

Even if 2 teams go it will turn D1 - D3 on it's head.

I heard that there are a lot of disgruntled players lurking around St Marys this year - may lose a few over summer

My mail is that the current Bentleigh heirachy are totally committed to the VAFA.

Everyone know's that the SFL is a struggling league, and that may deter many if not all the clubs, especially those in the higher grades. Also, why would clubs that left the SFL, go back? Obviously they made a decision that the league wasn't working for them for a variety of reasons roughly 10-15 years ago, one of the biggest is the expense of player payments, that hurdle hasn't changed.

On the up side, I'm sure the SFL would be offering a very nice financial incentive to come across, perhaps no affiliation fees for the first 1-2 years potentially saving the clubs $20,000.

Yeah theres a few disgruntled down at SMS and have said they will not play on next year unless Banga Lane makes a comeback......well another comback anyway, the guy deserves to be carried off the field for a 3rd time. You heard it hear first!

When was he CEO of the VAFA?? I know he was assistant coach at AJAX for a while but CEO, I don't think so.
Why would the SFL want to poach Div 2 and 3 teams???

if its a toss of a coin over the comps and they did want to leave why wouldnt they want to go to the mnpfl? they are def in that area.

We wish to stay in D2 if that option is available to us and we will be putting forward our case to do so but it is out of our control. We certainly hope to. Only time will tell.
