UHS-VU vs Power House - Can't see the Students from Royal Park being troubled by the House who seem to have run out of Power.
Yarra Valley vs Kew - The premiership favourites from the wine country should keep their unblemished record intact for at least another week.
Ivanhoe vs St Francis Xavier - A crucial game for both teams with the X-Men going down gallentley last week and think it will be the same again this week.
Richmond vs Old Westbourne - Could be another big win coming up for the Tiger-Snakes again.
Albert Park vs Aquinas - The Falcons blew a win last week and can't see the aquinas boys being generous this week.
Hawthorn vs Elsternwick - A crucial relegation-type game and think the Wicks can put some space between themselves and the drop.

Very happy with the Hoes today coming from 5 goals down in the second to win by 13.

We look like a quality unit and improving all the time but I still think St Francis will be in the mix at the end.

The margin was surprising. Sfx may have had a few outs?

Good win for the snakes today also, angus with 9.

Maybe BigWaz. Don't think the Vandams played bu most of the ones who played against Yarra were there.

Only someone from St Francis could tell for sure.

Don't think they enjoyed the wet.

Think Edwards did his hammy for the House. Can anyone confirm?

Similar story with Aquinas perhaps? There only two losses were in the mud.

6 for 6... What do I win?

was the clear turning point in the game, Ivanhoe kicked something like 18 goals to 1 once the rain started.

Big Bustling Barrel Francis like a pig in mud, and dominating the off field action.

IVANHOE officially getting serious in 2012.UHS v Powerhouse. Normal group of spectators except THE SPY who parked myself between the 2 teams & then decided to use THE TOP of a rubbish bin to write down the stats for both teams. Going well except he forgot people wanted to use the bin!! More than embarrased.

Puff Puff
:(Edwards Hammy - Yes - Looked a nasty one - Was running really well prior to it as well - was going to be a danger I thought.

I think you'll find this "spy" has being doing the rounds since well before 2012 season started... so no more or less serious than any other year

FLUFF FLUFF

Didn't hear anything about the spy being embarassed although I did hear he did have to make way for one Uni High reserve player to put his used tape in the recycle bin.

Didnt make the trip on Saturday but yes Aquians need to address thier issue of playing in the mud. As probably one of smallest teams in the Division they probably do not like the wet conditions, due to thier smaller frames.

Hopefully they can bounce back next week!

how did the big "pieman" go on saturday ?

Whoever wants to win will have to be Yarra, which looks like a fair challenge...

The big Pie man had a crack, tough day in the wet at CHF, but as usual he doesn't get beaten in many contests and is a great target to have up there.

round 7 selections.
Aquinas v UHS. Brens oval boys.
Ivanhoe v Power House. Hoes.
Richmond v Kew. Kew
Albert Park v Hawthorn. Falcons get the bye.
SFX v Elsternwick. Home side.
OW v Yarra Valley. this sections' under achievers to win this one. Bushies!

Have arrived back in town to have a look at round 7. Some interesting results whilst I was away and happy to see the Hoes get a couple of wins.

Aquinas v UHS: Aquinas always tough at home, so it makes this a very even tussle. UHS-VU still playing some good footy and I think they may sneak a VERY good away win. 10points.

Ivanhoe v Power House. Hoes have been playing some good footy, without getting it altogether. Hope to see a few more back this week to take on the House, who have always been a tough team for us to get over. Hoes but 17 points at home.

Richmond v Kew: The snakes have been going along very nicely and with the big unit up forward are always in the game on the scoreboard. Who will take him? Could Bagnall play a role? I think the Snakes at home though by 22 points.

Albert Park v Hawthorn: AP's have been unlucky with some close losses that would have seen them higher up at this point in time. I expect them to be too strong for the struggling Hawks. AP 37 points.

SFX v Elsternwick: SFX to bounce back at home I would imagine, but EP not to be brushed aside easily. On their day the boys in the red abd black can match it with anyone. SFX 2 points

OW v Yarra Valley. The boys from YV just motoring along very nicely. Clearly the standout team of the comp and the ones to beat at the moment. Can not see OW upsetting the juggernaut - and the margin says more about YV than it is about OW. YV by 52 points.

Chump.

Aquinas v UHS: UHS by 3 goal, with R Watts back in the state again.
Ivanhoe v Power House: Hoes 10 goals, could get ugly with big Eddo out
Richmond v Kew: Snakes by 4 goals, big, capable full forwards are scarce this year in D3, but they have one.
Albert Park v Hawthorn: Falcons by 5 goals, no respite for the Hawks
SFX v Elsternwick: SFX by 6 goals, Wicks to struggle on the big ground.
OW v Yarra Valley: Yarra, the machine keeps rolling along, 12 goals

Aquinas vs UHS-VU >> The home side needs this one to keep ahead of a chasing pack for a finals spot but the Students are playing well at the moment and can sneak off with the points.
Ivanhoe vs Power House >> The power certainly seems to have been unplugged at the Ross Gregory and with the Noes in good form it looks another long afternoon for the visitors.
Richmond vs Kew >> The Tiger-Snakes are certainly on teh rise of late and should be able to handle the Bears here. Interestingly, wilol the Bears be required to wear an altrnate jumper for this clash - black/yellow sash vs brown/yellow sash ?
Albert Park vs Hawthorn >> Monster win last week by the Falcons after some fade-out losses, and the should be too classy for the Hawks here.
St Francis Xavier vs Elsternwick >> An important eight-pointer here with the winner either staying in touch for a finals berth (X-Men) or breaking away from the relegation zone ('Wicks). Give it to the X-Men, by a small margin.
Old Westbourne vs Yarra Valley >> Don't expect a small winning margin here with the wine-makers displaying their premiership favouritism form

Indeed! Still a long way to round 18.
The run for the next 6 weeks will sort the Division. Yarra Valley are rightfully favorite. The ladder below them is dynamic to say the least. Ivanhoe are looming as contenders, UHS VU maybe. Richmond are flattered by the draw a bit. Aquinas? Brittle methinks.Elsternwick making their traditional mid season run and will be tough competitors. Of the rest, Kew have shown some form and SFX are looking hard at the next few weeks with a view to getting 4 points each week. Injuries, that's the key word for all teams on Thursday nights and the cellar dwellers may surprise some. Still too far to mention the "R" word. Divvy 3, the place to be!

Kew nearly pulled off the biggest comeback ever. Were down by 10 goals early the fourth before the snakes stopped running. Another 3 mins would have done it.
