Kew will be very good next year... Thankfully we wont have to play them for a while...

The difference their u18's side made to them was phenomenal. I have heard that there might be another u18's side come along next year of the same quality? Can't remember where from though... Best to move into u19 north/south Nikko!

Thanks Dinosaur. We're all looking forward to it!

Richmond had a tough first season in D3 after losing the D4 GF... Half their list retired. Hopefully EP don't have a similar bunch of retiree's, but I suspect the Viola boys might have had enough?

It was a great year for Kew, everything seemed to come together to set up a famous victory. 2s should have lost but really, after such a good season they deserved a bit of luck. Well done to Elsternwick, fantastic season. Hope they can pick up some kids for next season as they are a great, old club. Well done all, all the best for next season!

Kinsella deserved the medal as he was outstanding on the forward flank but as was mentioned before, there were plenty of good players. Brazzale and Spencer the two others who immediately come to mind.

Hey Waz. Looks like we may only lose one of them to retirement but the rest of our list is still pretty young and looking to kick on. Already recruiting well and signs look good as far as the playing list is concerned.

What happened to the reserves? Was depth an issue due to having the three GF's on the one day?

I don't think so. Although a couple of injuries occurred late in the year, I thought it was managed pretty well overall. I think it was just more an issue of losing the plot for a couple of quarters and getting ahead of themselves after a good first quarter. Their disposal was off and La Trobe was playing pretty well. I didn't get to see much of the second half with our game coming up but from the replay it appeared they were just playing poorly until the last 10 minutes when they picked up their game.

Well Liam Kinsella backed up his Grand Final BOG by coming 2nd in the Kew U18's Best & Fairest (played 6 games) and 2nd in the Seniors Best & Fairest having played only 10 games!! Unbelievable effort and the Bears will be happy to know he's playing again next year :thumbsu:

Top effort. Would be a handy pick up for an A Grade side.

Barney looks slightly startled at the prospect.:)

Absolute legend. Most fearless player I've seen wear the brown and blue. Sometimes dangerously so. Superb on-field leader too.

Not absolutely sure his intense aggressive approach to player management is suited to today's football. That said, he does have a couple of flags in the knapsack.
