Tips for this week:
UHS VU over Old Westbourne
South Mornington in an upset at home against Aquinas
Elsternwick over Albert Park
La Trobe over Powerhouse
Swinburne over the inform SFX
and in a huge day at Vic Park Collingwood: Kew Reserves to beat the top of the table Centrals. But in the seniors the Centrals by a couple against Kew

I can't recall the last time RC beat Kew in the reserves. They have always had a top two's side and now have won their past 2 games by 400 - 40 or something ridiculous. They should be comfortable favorites.

Toss a coin for the seniors. It should be a cracker... going to be wet and cold, luckily there'll be a grandstand on hand for spectators.

I'd say the Richmond Central reserves will be favourites due to the current ladder! Will be a great day of footy

Apparently RC's reserves have never beaten Kew. Although there was a wash out once, resulting in a draw 9 years back. Someone at the club has a good memory!

Not that good bigwaz......pretty sure the two's played that year (2004...showing my age here) on smaller ground next to main oval and it was the ones that got washed out due to a lake at CHF on the main oval (smaller ground wasn't available at 2.00pm)...was very thankful that I was playing ones that game and didn't have to play as the weather was awful.

UHS-VU
Have to say Aquinas after last weeks effort. Though SM aren't too far off the mark.
Not sure what's going on at Elsternwick, they seem to have run out of players? Albert Park to win.
La Trobe
Swinburne, but SFX seem to have come good in the past 3 weeks.
RC... by 1 point.

Reserves? UHS, Aquinas, AP, LT, Swin, Kew

Missed by 'that much' for a clean sheet last week but this week looks much harder.

UHS-VU vs Old Westbourne
South Mornington vs Aquinas
Albert Park vs Elsternwick
Power House vs La Trobe Uni
Swinburne Uni vs St Francis Xavier
Richmond vs Kew

UHS VU v Old Westbourne
South Mornington v Aquinas bloods to start stringing them together
Albert Park v Elsternwick wicks back on the winners list
Power house v La Trobe
Swinburne v SFX

Richmond Central v Kew even on the smaller ground

How small do you think Victoria Park is?

Two hard fought wins for Aquinas out at South Mornington today. The ground looked a picture before the twos albeit with a lot of standing water, as can be expected after the downpour Melbourne copped in the last 24hrs. Unfortunately for the Tigers the two games did nothing for the surface and any teams travelling out there this year will be in for a scrap in the mud. Special thanks to the South Mornington trainers and officials who helped enormously with our two blokes who went down with bad ankles. A young fella with a broken jaw added to the heavy injury list before half time in the seniors. I thought we fought the game out well despite our limited rotations after half time.

It was a ripping game out at Vic Park. The snakes got the lead for the first time half way through the last quarter, and held Kew goalless after about the 6 minute mark of the third quarter. Just wasn't enough in the end... Well done to Kew.

Any word on when the two Albert Park games will be scheduled?

Tips.
SFX - close game
Elsternwick - close game
Kew - should pull away
Aquinas - have form back
UHS - just
RC

I predict a few close games this week. Lets hope the weather holds up.

The two Albert Park games will be scheduled against Elsternwick on Saturday 6th july, the weekend when the rest of d3 have the week off, still waiting for the power house vs la trobe university as yet.

Albert Park's home game has been moved to Elsternwick Park... They can check out powerhouse at the same time.

Looks like there is only the one game that is in dispute.

South Mornington vs St Francis Xavier
Elsternwick vs Power House
La Trobe Uni vs Kew
Albert Park vs Aquinas
Swinburne Uni vs UHS-VU
Old Westbourne v Richmond Central

Another behind the play incident, this time in the La Trobe Uni v Kew game - the ball nowhere in sight.
Player was "marshalled" off the ground looking like Mark Murphy, but thankfully looks to have escaped serious injury although will need to be watched tonight.
IMO 5+ weeks.

Great win from uhs-vu on sat the younger brigade leading the way with a few injurys. Rowland & Deveraux starting to take more senior roles while 16 yo Boru kicking a goal. The long term future looks bright down at the zoo hopefully we can get a few blokes back this season

I've heard more about Rowlands amazing looks rather than his football ability... so he can play?

Not too confident in a couple of my selections for this week, but ah well, here goes:

Aquinas vs Richmond
UHS-VU vs South Mornington
La Trobe Uni vs Swinburne Uni
Power House vs Albert Park
St Francis Xavier vs Old Westbourne
Kew vs Elsternwick

another cracking day at the zoo Devereux kicked 5 & Rowly would have and 40 touches, not bad from blokes who arnt in the top 45 players in the 19's & 23's vafa squads

Snakes went down in another ripping contest at Aquinas... Probabaly 3-4 lead changes in the last quarter and there was nothing in it all day. Biggest margin was 2 goals...

RC's past players day this weekend, and our first home game in a month... Thank Christ.
