Even without footage, if he's caused serious injury to an opposition player there would be medical reports that would be hard to dispute.
Also that's why an investigation is heard the week after the report is made, gives both sides a chance to provide evidence and bring in witnesses from on and off the field that have witnessed the incident.
He king hit a bloke from behind off the ball. Our bloke was concussed.
End of story. Enjoy early retirement

Purely numbers related I'd say. Have barely been able to field a side even when playing at home, been a tough year for the boys out west. Hopefully they can bounce back and once again play in D3 in 2024.
That's no good. Plenty of teams out that way. Probably lose some decent kids to Willy CYMS

Can I jump in here and redirect the narrative? Yes he was collected high, but its hardly 2-week suspension let alone 8.

CC player tackled RC player and slung him to the ground in a dangerous manner. Head hit the ground. Should have been a free kick. Umpire didnt call anything, RC player got up and chased CC player who just so happened to have the ball at that moment and just after he kicked it the RC player collected him behind the ears with his inner forearm. Should have been downfield but yet again the umpire didnt call anything. CC player slowly got up while a nearby melee erupted and seemed to be ok at the time.

Quite astounding to suggest one should receive a lengthy suspension for an act that in most cases only warrants a free kick (or 1-2 weeks in the AFL). Also, by saying it was a "king hit" would suggest that he punched him from behind with a clenched fist, but if you hear the witness statements you will clearly see that he collected the CC player with his inner forearm while maintaining an open palm.

8 weeks for an incident that didn't break any bones, make anyone bleed or send the player to hospital seems a bit heavy handed.

One would have to agree given that scenario.

Please… You genuinely saying that this version of events was accepted by the tribunal and they still gave him 8 weeks? Laughable. From reports out of CC, it was a dog act and deserved the 8.
Richmond also had a bloke get 2 weeks for a blatant head butt earlier in the year because the umpire stuffed up the report by ticking striking instead of head butting. There was footage of the incident too which never got the chance to be viewed by the tribunal because of the stuffed up report sheet allowing the Richmond player to accept 2 weeks with an early plea.

Wicks - should finish their H&A season on a high
Canterbury - close match, 50/50 but will stick the Cobras
Hawthorn - week off to rest last week and should bounce back
Parkside - training run before finals

Congratulations to the top 4 sides for 2022. Special mention to Elsternwick and South Melbourne who have come up from D4 and finish top 2 in D3; a terrific effort.
It shapes to be a tremendous finals series, Parkside at 4th have nearly won a premiership from that position before so they could do it again ;)

After watching a D3 game last weekend, many observers agreed that it is a terrible standard of football. I would hate to see how bad D4 is.

You wouldn’t want to gloat that you play VAFA D3 footy, you would be the laughing stock of the local community.

VAFA is a in strife, teams in these sections would lose to Eastern Div 4 sides by 30 goals each week.

VAFA used to be a great comp, now the board only want to look after the Old School sides while the local clubs suffer.

Hoo roo VAFA

Top post there 3180. You'd be fun at a party.

Don't think anyone aroind these parts claim that we play top notch footy but everyone out there running around still enjoying themselves most weeks.

Comparing them to the EFL is a little silly but would imagine the boys in Premier VAFA going to be pushing and winning against the boys at the top of the EFL.

You do realise that VAFA D3 is actually the 6 tier of the VAFA? As such you might hope that the 4th level of the EFL would be a better than the 6th level of the VAFA. Eastern is a great competition but for what it's worth the VAFA and EFL played each other 3 times across the previous decade with the VAFA winning each match by ever increasing margins.

"Many observers agreed"

Clearly that is a lie seeing as though someone who posts dribble like that has zero friends.

Be better champion

What a pathetic comment. People playing at this level are at least going out and trying their best and yet you mock them. Your EFL players play ,in the main, for money not for the love of the game. Don’t mock these kids who are trying to play at their level and strive to get to a higher division. You embarrassed yourself.

Says a lot about him that he goes out of his way, logs onto a forum just to post a negative comment.
Got mates who play D4 EFL who are only playing because they’re on 300-400 a game. The guys in vafa, especially the lower grades are doing the same thing for their mates/the club/the game etc.
