An utterly ludicrous decision.

Imagine holding amateur F-Grade footballers to a the same standard as AFL players.

No wonder the VAFA are losing multiple clubs every year.

A bit of training for the guys and perhaps a 1 game suspension would’ve sent a clear message.

Disgraceful decision.

VAFA had to pander to their female stakeholders, dishing out a soft punishment would have caused a uproar.

Still BHN have nobody to blame but themselves. Had ample opportunities to get on the front foot and snuff it out, let it linger now have been bitten in the arse by something that could've been quashed straight away.
 
Poor blokes won't know where to look when kicking inside 50 for the first couple of weeks. Might need a few blokes to punch through some points and pretend it's an opposition players head. Best not to confuse the lads too much until the offenders are back.

I agree with Eggy that a 1 game suspension at most was all that is necessary but also think the club should have acted before it made the press

Suspended by the VAFA? Amazing.

Fold the club - clearly shows this was simmering for a long time internally and was never addressed. The VAFA suspending a few players or asking them to take a course will not solve any issues within the club.

It sounds like the committee needs to all go and then make a decision if the club can continue going forward.

4 bye rounds in a 6 team comp.

Ridiculous fixture - Could've just played everyone twice, wrapped up the season early and possibly provided more ground availability around finals time.

Not sure where this 'Bob' Woodfull Oval is where the fixture has Albert Park playing their home games this year. Ex Australian cricket captain Bill might not be happy about the VAFA re-naming the oval named in his honour.

Seen those sponsored ads go up today. If the same social media person was still in charge I'd be shocked but its hard enough trying to find someone to do it, its a lot more work than you think.

The women's team routinely played with 14-16 players last season. The coach left too. After the blunder with the blackface/dildos/st kilda school girl drama I doubt they get up.

The men's program in strife is crazy because 2-3 years ago they had thirds. All it takes is a bit of drama and poor management and it can turn very quickly. VAFA would be praying to the gods they get up, can't lose another and only have 5 team division, 6 is bad enough.

One thing we can be sure of is BHN won't get any support from VAFA HQ if they need it.

Before the mad monday drama BHN were going really well. Masters, Womens (all though low numbers), Three mens teams up to the last year.

Eley park have gone to thirds where they will most likely die. There was some talk of a merge in 2021 but that was shot down and they played 2022 with bye clubs players making up their twos team.

I reckon nunawading and forest hill might join them soon, the EFNL has broken their strict rule of having two teams to compete to allow them to play, and made a schmozzle of the division.

Clubs need to swallow their pride and do whats best for the players. Cause what EP's players have had to deal with lately is no good for anyone.

Eley park have signed a very promising coach. Hopefully he can turn it around

I saw, but where are the players going to come from?

Even doncaster have got back on their feet this year and their juniors only have u10's and u13's.

Way too many clubs in the area. And not enough players for everyone
