While I am on my rant, does anyone at the VAFA proof read what the scribes send in.. And i quote from the website "South Mornington showed the competition why they are deservedly premiership favourites by holding the students to just five scoring shots on Saturday. In bitterly cold conditions, the Tigers grinded out a hard fought forty-four point win in front of joyful home fans who braved the less than inclement weather"

Shouldn't it be ground out?

That ought to get Milney fired up again!

That I can forgive, however I did miss something from the scribe on Friday which I did see Saturday morning reading the record... And I quote "After an exhilarating month of four-quarter football, the Cobras were run down in the last quarter by North Brunswick. Phil Gagliano and Dean Gee were prolific ball winners for the victors, whilst Sean Leonard was the standout for the Cobras who were sent home to lick their wombs"

Surely someone should proof read this garbage

Hi Guys, So im boots/big booth (triple m) from Chadstone. Just wondering if possible you guys could all jump onto the wild turkey pageon Facebook http://www.facebook.com/wildturkeyau?sk=app_305901486159865 The goal for the club is to have the most Registered fans of the club. If we manage to be top of the ladder at the end of the season we win $10,000 cash! The club has been down and out for far to long. If you can help out by registering that would go a hell of a long way. Thanks for the support in advance!
I wouldn't vote for your club after what I witnessed on saturday,I could only describe it as thuggery at its best in the 1st quarter of the reserves game. One Chadstone player was sent off twice in the 1st Q, the first for throwing a haymaker which luckily for both players missed, the reported player then proceeded to abuse and threaten the umpire that he was going to kill him etc. When he returned to the field after 12 minutes he then king hit a Nth player behind play with a roundhouse punch from behind which could have had serious consequences and only by luck did not cause worse injuries . The goal umpire jumped onto the ground and stopped the game and alerted the field umpire, it was a sickening incident and my son who was watching with me was terrified. The sad part for me was that you could tell he was going to do something stupid yet not one official or coaches stopped him from returning to the field, if that is how the club wants to portray themselves well I hope they fold. I live near the ground and often take my son for a kick and to watch a bit of local footy he no longer wants to go and we left straight after the incident. I hope that Brunswick take it further as I would hate for this guy to be allowed to continue to play, he is a timebomb and a throwback to the 80's also I hope the player hit is okay.

I did not see the incident but understand that he has been banned from playing again by the President. Not good to see but it is hard to ban people before incidents occur. The club has given a young guy a chance to have fun playing and he has thrown it back in our face. Something that no one down at Chaddy wants to see either and we do not want to get a bad reputation.

I'll take that on board, I personally missed the incident aswell. When i got to the game the young bloke who did this was sitting on the bench and said himself he cant play anymore because he was a time bomb. Chadstone has taken the correct course of action i would say with the outcome.
Calling Chadstone thugs is just as good as the pot calling the kettle black foxtell. That's if you are a North Brunswick supporter (remembering when you played us at home this season). Chadstone does not want an image of going out to fight because things are not going our way. If you stayed around for the seniors you would have been happy to see a good contested game.

I have to say that has made my day;It is one of the funnier autospell-check errors i have seen. It does bring up some interesting images.
Regardless, ease off please Milney. If you think you can write better, then apply for a job with the ammos. It is a relatively thankless task, with only moderate input from the clubs, and limited editing time. If you try to be creative you will get bagged, and if you dont you will get called boring. Maybe you could send him some better information about your club each week.

dreamworld you are a dead set goose!!!! you have posted 8 times and all of them have been bagging PC!!!! Can you not get a game with them or something??? You def have some hang ups about PC!!!!

Average It would do PC the world of good to have a change of coaching staff IMO (although it is very hard to find good coaches at the lower levels) With the players that PC has managed to gain in the passed few years a change in game style would be very helpful once again IMO, even the step between D4 and D3 is a large one!!

Cosmo, i agree a change in coach can be beneficial. however as you said PC have picked up new players therefore for them Fraser is a new coach.

Secondly dream world has mentioned in everypost that either PC are no good, PC have no depth, PC are front runers, PC will not make finals, People are not happy at PC! every post is about PC so clearly their are hang ups.

PC is three years old and will play finals this year. (They will be ahead of were South mornington were at the same time)

Average, a tired game plan is a tired game plan, new or old players! Fraser is a good start up coach with solid ideas but wont get your club out of D4.

I really dont care what DW thinks or if he has hang-ups or not....

SM are a joke and will still find away to stay in D4 this year, they are the last club I'd be judging yourself against, just work on getting your own club out of D4 and IMO the only way you can is with a new coach.

I wasn't taking a shot at what the scribe has written or his creativity. Actually enjoy his write ups, but surely it takes us 10 minutes max to read the column, has he or the editor not have 10 minutes to spare to actually read over his work which appears in an official VAFA publication? Clubs get fined $5 if a score is 1 behind out, maybe clubs should start fining the VAFA for these kinds of mistakes!! I have not potted his actual work, but simple grammar mistakes should be corrected.

What club are you with Cosmo? just curious mate

Ladder prediction D4

1 - Mt Lilydale
2 - West Bruns
3 - Swinburne
4 - South Morning
5 - Eley Park
6 - Point Cook
7 - Box Hill Nth
8 - Nth Brunswick
9 - Manningham
10 - Chadstone

My Name Is, seems you have gone underground after those ridiculous comments stating MTL would still make finals! And then i dredge up this ladder from the start of the year, a touch off the mark!
Anyhow Tips R11:
BHN by 1 goal over NB (come on RM!!)
SM by 15 goals over MTL (Although if MTL are still GOING to make finals, guess they better win this one)
PC by 20 goals over MC (tough game last week for PC, this week a stroll in the park)
WB by 5 goals over CHAD (wishful thinking!)
EP by 10 goals over SU (EP to take 2nd spot on the ladder when they smash SU)

Reserves:
NB,SM,PC,WB,EP.
