I would like to take my hat off to the South Mornington football club for what they have done to get behind Jake Rolls.

I had no idea that the South Mornington football club lost one of there own last year.

Being apart of the Box Hill North football club, I to know how it feels when a friend departs us. A year ago yesterday we lost a special friend, Jo Cox to cancer as well.

It's amazing that one minute they are with us and the next they are gone. I think this is why football clubs are so important to every single person that is involved in one.

The special bonds that you build, the friends you make and will continue to make is second to none.(something that can never be taken away)

I say good luck to South Mornington on there quest to win two flags this season, I know that if they win them both, they will be dedicating a lot of drinks to Jake and playing to win for him too.

What happened down at PC on Saturday. I herd something about Manningham had 19 players on the park and got pulled up from it. Can anyone shed some light?

Manningham did have 19, in the first quarter. No one is sure of what the rule is now, so Vafa to investigate.

Scores were 3.3 to 0.3 in Manninghams way at the time.

Point cook was awarded a free kick from roughly where the ball was on the HBF.

Suppose we wait and see the outcome!

Cobras made an interchange error in the last two/three minutes of first quarter - had no influence on the score, nor the game as PC were far too good in second half. Investigation to follow

Interchange error, how many interchanges do you make a game 20 maybe 30 how the hell do you stuff that up??

Flog...Honestly what???? Mt.Lilydale will still make the finals! Now I'm not the biggest fan of the Rams but if you actually invested in a bit of research before typing you'd have to realise the players that have only played a couple or so. Not sure when they will have a solid line up but it would want to happen soon. West Brunswick?????

Sorry to flog a dead horse but I think it's safe to say that I have well and truly won that argument...

Anyhow, here are my round 12 tips:
NB by 1 goal over SU (NB have a SLIM outside chance of playing finals, they will throw everything at SU and may sneak a win, still probably won't be enough to further their cause)
SM by 10 goals over PC (not as bad a mauling as last time, ground will be shocking and bring SM back a bit)
MC by 15 goals over CH (no happy ending this week)
BHN by 1 goal over WB (playing for pride)
EP by 30 goals over MTL (after EP smashing them up there last time by 16 goals,MTL will get chewed up and spat out by the ruthless sharks who will bounce back after the loss to SU)

Reserves:
SU,SM,MC,WB,EP

I remember playing in U16's and a similar scenario happend. Except it was the start of the second quarter.

The other team had 19 on the field. It had no bearing on the game what so ever but after investigation, they had their whole score wiped.

I guess different leagues could have different ruling, we will just have to wait and see.

A few years ago Albert Park played nearly a full quarter against RC with 19 on the field (in the reserves). As a result they had their whole quarter score wiped off. That cost them 1 solitary behind... not much of a penalty as it turns out :)

PC reserves played with 19 for about 20mins in thier first ever game in the VAFA, still dont know how it can happen with so few changes??

I thought that was the new rule, but should the ruling be made on the day, rather than after the final siren has gone? Surely the scores that are 'signed off' should stand. Anyway.......

When both umpires are unsure, they make a note in their match report, for the powers to be to make the call. Both participating sides have been made aware, and I don't think under the circumstances that is pretty well handled.

Had the result hinged on the decision, then maybe another story.

As for the comment by Cosmo- seeing that your affiliated with the higher comps these days, I'm surprised you think there is so few interchanges.

I know at Pt cook we run approx 20-30 a quarter, which seems the norm these days for ALL sides.

But that might surprise you, because apparently our club plays without structure or a gameplan! :p

So I can see how it can happen.

TT, yes we would be in the low 100's each game maybe down to 90's if early injury etc. I'm supprised that the depth is in D4 to allow such heavy rotations.

Anyone can call rotations, not sure what game plan has to do with it.

Actually just finished Mick and David's book has some very interesting comments on rotations well worth a read.

Tongue was firmly in cheek!

Just the criticism of our coaching staff has been adamant on this site, and I'm yet to establish where you get your form line from!

Surely the Top 4 is done in the Seniors. For Nth Brunswick to get in they would need to win 3 more games than Pt Cook and Eley Park in the last 7 games, and both of those sides have 4 they should win easily and each other (meaning one of them will win 5 at least).

If it pans out as I have said below (takng into account Nth Brunswick to beat both Eley and Pt Cook) Nth have to win all 7 of their games and get a better percentage to get in. So technically you are right - it is slim. But it ain't gonna happen.

Pt Cook have:
South - loss
Chaddie - win
Eley - one has to win - loss
West Bruns - win
Box Hill - win
Nth Bruns - has to lose for nth brunswick to get in
Lilydale - win

Eley have:
Lilydale - win
South - loss
Pt Cook - one has to win - win
Chaddie - win
North Bruns - has to lose for nth brunswick to get in
Box Hill - win
West Bruns - win

Nth Brunswick:
Swinburne - loss (have to win to stay a chance)
Lilydale - win
West Brun - win
South - loss (have to win to stay a chance)
Eley - has to win
Pt Cook - has to win
Manningham - win

I 100% agree that the top 4 is done, it's more I just like seeing the students lose and hoping they have a massive brain-fade and miss out on finals, how good would that be!

Hahaha! Fair enough. I love the amount of little gripes you have going around. No-one is safe. It would take an incredible brain fade for them to slip - especially now they have played both Eley and Pt Cook twice and are a game and percentage in front of both.

THE RULE IS
VAFA RULE 5.5 IN SHORT
The side that has the correct number of players, their captain is awarded a free kick at the top their attacking goal square,VAFA to determine later if match result altered or further penalties.

Well point cook didn't get that free kick, but Vafa today informed us that Manningham have lost the 3.3 that they had on the board.

Guess we all know from now on!

I did not see the incident but understand that he has been banned from playing again by the President. Not good to see but it is hard to ban people before incidents occur. The club has given a young guy a chance to have fun playing and he has thrown it back in our face. Something that no one down at Chaddy wants to see either and we do not want to get a bad reputation.

It looks like chaddy will have to ban another player as well. One of the worst acts of thuggery and violence I have ever seen on a footy field.
The actions were not condoned by the club, but he had been building up to more serious incidents and they knew he was a time bomb. Very disappointing they let him back on the park.

No good big man. 2's or ones?

Not condoning the incident but did witness it and the player involved was clearly hit first and retaliated! my suggestion would be to not poke a bear and then complain when you get bitten. The opposition new this guy if provoked would retaliate and he was targeted by that team and it came to a point where he snapped. It wasn't good for the game agreed but the player involved started a fight with the wrong bloke and came off second best the reality is if the first punch was not thrown this would never have occurred!

Was this in the 1's or 2's?.When we played them a couple of weeks back #52 king hit one of our players in the 2's. Having already been sent off for striking, he returned to king hit a player and was sent off for the remainder of the game, all these incidents occured in the 1st quarter.Their president said he would not play again for their club, with this said we decided to let things take care of itself so nothing was done from our end . I have noticed that this same player was listed on the team list yesterday, if it is the same bloke the club should be made accountable they are a disgrace.!!

I did see the incident and whilst #52 may have thrown first, he certainly didn't start the combat or wrestle. I'm not prepared to say who threw first I didn't see the first punch. But I did see what started it and it wasn't a punch.

Nor was it a cobra player who threw a punch or made any contact to the first two blokes he hit.

And nor was it a cobra player at the back of the rooms bragging that he'd sent someone to hospital.

When you fracture 2 eye sockets have serious lacerations, and 3 breaks in your nose you would want to have done something serious.

Even if a punch had been thrown, what was dished out was hardly "coming to him" and nor was he provoked. If we knew he shouldn't be provoked, surely chaddy new too, and surely after hitting two blokes (who didn't provoke) maybe as was discussed between the benches, maybe he should have just sat down and not played. If this is a second occurrence then it's reckless on chaddys part and they should be held to account. Especially if this is the same person as the previous incident. If not they need to be more careful on who they give the number 52 jumper to.
