D4 in the VAFA is actually 7th division so you would expect they would do a bit better next season.

Surely (and the biggest surprise of D4) Ken Schwab to make a massive difference at Chadstone. Would expect them to win at least three.

Given the Hawthorn departures I'd say WB to be flag favs.

Whisper is that more coaches than players have attended the Cobras pre season sessions and that the new helm is very unimpressed with the current turn out.

Also think that BHN will be a big mover - they have apparently recruited well,

NB could stay up and about - I live out that way and have heard they are travelling ok in their preparations

Have heard they will be missing a few.
Any ins coming in with Ian Deny?
Heard they didn't handle the exit of Fraser and the interview process well.
Any truth in that or just some disgruntled smaller groups.

Very open Division. Plenty on sides. Few local derby's out Westbourne way. The league should promote these. Maybe an anzac clash or Sunday game. Get some local crowds flocking in.

What would motivate a coach to get one club into Div 3, then leave to coach the bottom club in the whole comp?

Did he bring any players from Ealy Park with him?

Point cook have seem to lose around 5-6 players from last year due to that coach issue,
most have gone to manor lakes.

if the Suns do get up that would be a big 3 way Rivaly but i doubt will most likely be point cook
and westbourne.

Fixtures wont be out for Div 4 till late untill final teams are sorted

There was a top 6 last year which was worse,
more than half the teams made finals.
So a top 5 in 10 teams would be an improvement, but top 4 would be ideal

Each has it's advantages.
Nothing like a division that is close, especially going in to the business end of the season. Nothing worse that a dvision that has a gulf in the class of the teams involved. Personally, top 4 works.
I'd say Northern Blues sort of validated the 6 last year.

He was definitely not coaching until an offer was made to him. Certainly MUCH more than Eley Park has previously re-imbursed.

The majority of last years list are sticking around plus the new coach has good numbers coming with him, with new blokes outnumbering old at training before Christmas.

Any word on the numbers out west with the new sides and how are the cobras looking?

Word is Wyndham suns have had 15 on the park. Majority 19's and cancelled a few nights due to lack of attendance.
Point Cook had low numbers. Someone said 6 only one night but surely that wrong. New coach must have brought some.
Westbourne had plenty. 35+ a night and was told 45-55 respectively a couple of times.
These sides will be hoping to play one another twice. Huge rivalry beckons

If Wyndham suns do not get a senior squad on the field for 2014 season then westbourne grammarians can only field a team in the clubbies, but both teams can field one side each in the seniors without reserves if the suns get a senior team in 2014
