As others have suggested in this thread, they've had a large group of players that have come across from Hallam with the appointment of their coach.

The pick of the bunch are probably Chin and McGaw.
Just had a look on the clearances. Mcgaw clearance cancelled?

Any Praccy match news?
Looks like Sth mornington have games lined up
Friday 16th March against frankston dolphins
And 24th sat vs currum Patto lakes.
Eley park v mt lilydale on the 24th
And st Francis v st John's on the 24th. But that's all I have heard.

Happy to have a crack here as well .. Wicks had 36 on the track on Monday night and this didn't include about 7-8 regular senior players .. I've put about 10-12 clearances in so far and about 4-5 have been approved to go out.. Seeing that the wicks missed the 4 by half a game last season, I think you might have us a bit too low ..

Didn't mean to offend. Like I said new to the league. Fair enough. Sounds like you are doing well. so any new recruits worth mentioning. Any guns?

Haven't had a good look yet - it's still early - good numbers and depth is always a good start .. There is a couple in the pipeline that are going to be quality .. We've lost our runners up in our B&F and also one of up and coming young guns who wanted to go and try a better standard .. cannot be grudge anyeone wanting to play a better standard .. It's still going to be a tough year as our ground gets decommissioned mid way through for the redevelopment hence why we have a lot of home games up front..

Watched mt lilydale train last night they had 28 on the park. First time I've seen divvy 4 and the ball seemed to be moving vey well. Surprised considering I've heard divvy 4 ain't much chop.

What odds St. Francis? Having seen Hallam first hand last year, and depending how many of the Seniors moved across, I can't see them not finishing top or second at worst! Watch out for blow-out scores if majority are ones players!!

Whare and what time is the game on the 16th? Playing against Frankston this year so wouldn't mind getting a look at them.

Soooooo if they are majority senior players are they coming across for free?? (Have to don't they??) Does anyone know why they are all leaving? I've been told the coach has come from there but was the 3rds or under 19s coach I think?!. So why all seniors leaving?

‘Apparently’ they weren’t paying players last year and of course, they ‘won’t be paid’ in the Ammos!

Not sure of exactly what happened to cause the exodus but they finished on top, 2games clear and only lost 2 games for the year before going out in straight sets in the finals.

They’ve now lost all their players and are struggling for numbers.

As I said, if they’re senior players (even half of them) that have gone across, st. Francis will be the team to beat.

g'day all. I've just moved to the northern suburbs of melbourne from Brisbane. Have posted on bigfooty before looking to have a crack at footy up north, but work got in the way. Now that i'm back as a mon - fri drone my nights and weekeneds have opened back up, and being in the game's heartland has made me keener than ever to have a kick.

Can anyone personally recommend a club that's good for totally new players? I've played rugby league in the past, though I was primarily a swimmer in my 'prime' if you can call it that. I'm still physically in shape but would be out of gas very quickly most likely. I'm not expecting to get a run-on spot or even contribute at all for a long period, so hoping there's a club that will help me develop as a player until I'm good enough to have a run on gameday.

Appreciate any help. For the moment I'm leaning towards North Brunswick due to proximity, but any thoughts/opinions/experiences are more than welcome.

Cheers
