Some nice recruiting.
They will have to play an intra club match round 2 as they have the bye after their first game which is not ideal.

It’s funny how some past players always seem to eventually come back when there’s light at the end of the tunnel! I like the young Vermont pick ups too. Yeah bye not ideal but round one will be a cracker!

I think it's about the environment of the club that players depart and come back. If there is no enjoyment not many people stick at any job. The club has turned that around and people/players want to be there and want to come back. It wasn't great for a few years and the past players to their credit have turned that around.

Similar happened with Donvale when they were out of the league for a year. It’s good to see the rams improving again though, great club and great people.

I read that Div 4 teams have a salary cap of $70,000 (I don't know if this has changed in 2019 due to less games) for the season. If it's 70k based on 16 games, that is around $200 a player (22). So some maybe on more and others on less.

You’d have to satisfy the Mariani boys in some way!...

No doubt about that. Like all Divisions, some players get more and others get less. The Salary cap and point system is no doubt making things sustainable financially for many clubs.

The only reason you could have seen me and my brown paper bag is:
1. You found your bifocals
or
2. You were up at East Burwood to have a nostalgic look at the Shield Comp to see if you could remember what it was like.
You might have a slim chance this year if Mitcham doesn't get the wobbles again like last year!

Might delete this post within 24 hours if I do not get a reply from you, lol. The wobbles at Mitcham cricket wise last season, well they won the premiership, lol.Cricket wise BHRDCA with the the top 3 grades next season being 8 team grades will be interesting with 1 round to go.Bottom 4 Ray Mc Intosh get relegated and if you do not make the 4 the 2nd grade (Mitcham is in ) you also get relegated.Similar to D4 EFL last season where only the top 2 were not relegated. The re development of Walker Park just about ready to start, when completed even you will be agreeing the ground is the MCG of the East.

IMPORTANT to remember the EFL forum was closed for a reason and that being lack of posters and people hiding behind alias names and some offending others.Looking at this forum surely the 6 or so posters we have there is it worth making comments.

The EFL forum was closed because the EFL couldn't control the comments. The EFL did not and still do not like anyone disagreeing with their policies and direction. Amazingly and not surprisingly, most of those gentlemen who implemented change are no longer there.

Talking about change I hear there will be no EFL footy record this season.

They confirmed that in response to an email that I sent today - will be online only.

It makes sense and will save the EFL and the clubs money.I think the clubs get X amount of records each home game and they are billed for them and if they do not sell all of them(and most do not) it costs them money. The extra work load to for club personal to put in the record for their club notes etc.Nearly all clubs have good web sites for every one can view if they wish.

Whats been happening at Kilsyth. Last I saw last year they were improving and looking likely finalist this year.Although I cannot find it I saw an earlier article today saying a number players left already.?
