Sounds like Silvan should of recruited players who can win a hard ball.

Its interesting, my connection at Coldstream believes they should have lost to Silvan but their poor kicking cost them. It was the same against Fairpark earlier in the year also, Silvan's poor poor goal kicking let them down.

Another point my Coldstream friend mentioned was that he didnt think Fairpark would get within 10 goals of East Burwood next week. Apparently Coldstream had their worst side of the year in and also had no bench after half time against Fairpark last week.

^^East Burwood don't think it's an easy win. Going to be a great day out at East Burwood for the next round. Team selection headaches galore.

I went to the Practice match at South Belgrave and East Burwood were not soundly beaten, they were very competitive and I thought South Belgrave were a good team. Both teams had players out that match but the standard was high and physical, I see South Belgrave are undefeated as well. I reckon East Burwood would be competitive in Division 3 right now.

Perhaps I should approach the EFL and recommend grading similar to juniors after 4 or 5 rounds, lol.Currently the only issues I can see with the new 5 grade structure is Chirnside Park struggling in D3,the domination of East Burwood in D4 and the 3 bottom teams in D4 who can not compete with the other sides in D4.From what I hear EB with their current list would be very competitive in D3 and at this stage I can not see them being beaten in 1's or 2's this season but how many certainties have fallen at the business end of the season in the past.

GMac, we should beat Fairrpark convincingly, however, I'm not against us losing a game over the season when I think of Ringwood last year.
I will be there next week and cheering the boys on. Really looking forward to the game. Go Rams.

Make sure you get there early Cliff,Mitcham v East Burwood in the 19's.

So good to see the rams doing well and being showed on the EFL game of the day for the second time this season.

Just imagine, this club that everyone is lauding over was in the second division only a handful of seasons ago.

Must be awesome boasting about how great they are beating clubs by 200 points that don't deserve what they are getting.

The 100-200 point losses aren’t a good thing at all and we all feel for the Kilsyths, Nuna, Croydon North etc. But a club that has mainly been in division 1, being back on its feet is also a good thing to see.

Get your facts right, it was first Division. You won't find me condemning any of the clubs here, because we were in same position in the past.
And anyway it's a bit hard lauding your performance if you've been losing most weeks.

Really?
The stories I’ve heard about the Rams and why they chose to fall so far should of seen them out of the league for ever.

1st is 2nd division now mate, get your facts right.

Fot clubs like Kilsyth and the like they will always struggle in the lower leagues due in some part their own organisation of manpower and such, but a hell of a lot due to bigger clubs like Montrose, Mooroolbark, Croydon, Souths and to an extent Bayswater and Ringwood attracting the better players away with more enticements and better opportunities.
I can’t fault the players but their must be something introduced that the bigger stronger clubs must pay back the smaller clubs.

What you’re suggesting is basically to penalise clubs for success and reward mediocrity.
Really can’t see that working.

Also, I think you’re a little confused as East Burwood were in first division (as recently as 2013 iirc) which has become premier.

And what would those stories be?
Instead of making crap accusations, explain what you mean. Nothing at East Burwood has been done that would see them out of the League.
1st Division is now Premier Division you EFL expert.

I would assume he’d be touching on the “nude lap” scandal that was in the news. Which wouldn’t warrant being kicked out of the league.

lol The Nude lap which someone made a complaint that they saw the players from the Burwood Highway. They had X Ray vision and could see through the buildings. Some disgruntled neighbors around there who want the oval and football gone and complain on a weekly basis.

Sad pricks if true!

That is why a salary cap and points system come in.

That doesn’t penalise successful clubs specifically though.
If anything it further handicaps clubs that are poorly organised and struggle with player retention (extending all the way back to juniors).

The Salary Cap and Points system have been a good thing for many clubs. Mind you, you still need money to pay players.

Big Day out at East Burwood. Three Victories and the Seniors behind all day and with 2 minutes to go they hit the front and run out winners. Definitely the Grand Final Preview.

Decided to go to the game today as i don't get to many EFL games these day as as live in Hawthorn. What a fantastic game! I thought Fairpark were pretty stiff to lose but East Burwood did miss a lot of goals too.

Didn't expect much from Fairpark as everyone i talked to seemed to be talking them down but they were impressive. I think there could be hope for Coldy yet! Coldy's form against Fairpark was ok a few weeks ago.

It has at least breathed life into Div 4, other teams I'm sure will watch the replay and try to analyse what exactly Fairpark did. It helped them having the dominant ruckman number 25 for Fairpark, he is a machine if he got himself a little more fit he could be anything. The defender who played on Gileno, the bald guy was fantastic too.

For East Burwood number 9 was the game changer.

Anyone who thinks East Burwood has a mortgage on the flag this year is insane from what i saw today.
