Eley park has had a big injury blow from Saturday I went down to watch they had 2 drop out Saturday morning then had 18 on the field at the end of quarter time 17 at the end of the game one of those being Baxter there FF with a hamstring

Bit late, but the evening game was still going when I did them on Saturday. SMD big upset over EPS, hope their guys recover soon.

Question, what is the process? Do they turn up to training in front of the coaches & then get told there not required (tongue in cheek)? Or what is the process?
Any idea the last time a D3 or D4 player actually played in one of these games?

Not sure but I would love to see a player get a game in this match.
Also interesting to see more Div 4 players are represented than Div 3 players?!!

Spot on mate....they will be told how luck they are to be able to train with the group only to then get the thanks but no thanks chat.

Peter Higginbotham joins Elsternwick from Glen Eira as assistant senior coach. Great pick up for the wicks at his part of the season.

Midseason Good Bloke Ladder*

1. SMD - Nice guys, haven't hosted them yet but positioning them here in hope that their Irish blokes drink plenty
2. LTU - Good young blokes, spent plenty over the bar
3. WICKS - Similar to above but not as young
4. EPS - Couple of angry blokes in the ressies (but who doesn't have that) but a solid bunch of guys all round
5. BHN - They expected the 4 pts going in so were a bit annoyed with the result and made that known, but nice guys unlucky to miss a finals spot here
6. SFX - A bit salty post game and quiet over the bar
7. SM - Bucked the tradition of Div 4 sides giving 6 packs to each teams bests post game
8. AP - Brought their own slabs of beer rather than supporting a local club
