Bentleigh are already advertising for a coach as a 2nd div SFL club !!!

Bentleigh leaving the competition means St. Mary's will probably avoid the drop and stay in D2, while Kew will also probably stay in Div 3, despite only winnign one game.
(One down, 2 up is better than 2 down 3 up in my mind and how the VAFA have handled this in the past.)

I for one, wouldn't like to bottom 2-3 grades being regionalised. The whole point of the current system is to get a competitive game every week. I'd prefer a bit (or a lot a few times a year) of travel and a close game each week than seeing Power House or Prarahn vs Chadstone. The differences between the top and bottom sides in each of the regionalised grades will be huge.

Not sure on Sammy. If he plays I think it will be at the Cobras; however I don't think it's a given he will be playing at all.

As for Genca, he scares softer blokes from either side of the fence, but I think his body has decided enough is enough on the playing side.

I've played Bulleen/Manningham 9-10 times over the last 6 years and I can't recall Genca ever doing anything ... perhaps he's just a myth.

No myth RM...have seen him go off a couple of times. Pretty good at the game!

The price of the software has increased a lot so there would need to be a payment for entry. Would people still be interested if there was a prize?

It dont think it will work, just like Ivanhoe/Assumption and Kew/RMIT didnt work. Even though all parties worked hard to make these successes, ultimately players wont play for the clubs until they have a genuine identity, - ie RMIT or Assumption, not combines. I believe UHS/VU has worked to a small extent, but this is an exception and i'd be curious how many of VU's intervarsity team are running around for UHS. RMIT want their own football club, and they may eventuate sooner than Assumption .

I think there quite a few at uhs/vu that actually go to vu but this is the wrong thread for it. It all has something to do with there player coach, I'm pretty sure he was involved with both. But your right it is something rare

Heard Laurie got the sack. What a joke will not find anyone more commited to a club. Wonder if any of the players he got there will move on now

It's a fair hike to bring players from Manningham to Chadstone though. Would anyone travel that far?

Most I'd say live (or work) within a 0-10km range, at least when they start playing for a club.

Laurie would have got the Parkside (nfl) job before carlton legend Peter Dean if he had of put in for it,thats how highly regarded he is there.
